Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
Unfortunately, our professing that apps crash doesn't really help with out logs. I had already removed the ROM when I decided to affirm the previous post, so I don't have logs. So, if someone is using the current ROM and is having the app crash issue, please post a logcat.

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/b8tywcc5v9uz62i/logcat.rtf i'm not very educated in android development but i pulled a logcat and the issues shown are: the updater app crashing on open( not a FC), gmail crashing when i tap an email to open it, and the SD card randomly unmounting. In general the SD card is hard to mount. it takes multiple reboots. it seems that 2.7.27 is extremely buggy, especially when it comes to app crashing. although the devs have done an amazing job on MIUI. it seems that the DINC 2 is ignored by devs and they pay more attention to phones that have much more users.

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
also i have been away from the rooting world for about 2 months, so were previous ICS 4.0.4 releases more stable? if so the mods should remove 2.7.27 until it is fixed and re-upload an older and more stable version.

There will probably be a new release in a few days, well maybe. Anyway, here is the old version

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
if you are on a GB release and you want to flash ICS you have to do a wipe in recovery

Do you mean just wipe data or factory reset then flash?

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
Bad news: It looks like nitsuj is no longer supporting DINC2 MIUI 4. I don't have enough time myself to take over his work, so looks like we are stuck with the June build for the most stable build.
nitsuj announcement on xda.
Link to the most recent most stable build.
EDIT: It appears someone else may begun developing for DINC2. However, they do not have a working CDMA version as of yet.Last edited by lvleph; 09-03-2012 at 09:56 AM.

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
Before installing a Rom it it's a a good idea to reward the entire op's post. The graphics weirdness is a known issue and there is nothing you can do about it. The play issue can be fixed by running
su
killall drmserver
In terminal.

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
I tried flashing from miui GB and after the white HTC logo went away it was just a black screen until I pulled the battery. I wiped data, cache, and dalvik, then flashed. Can anyone tell me something I might be doing wrong?

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
My only issue with this ROM is that i can't run any programs. Phone, sms, music works ok but any programs like opening an email in gmail, opening the internet, etc no good. looks for half a second like its going to open and then it doesn't. Any ideas?

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
So i've gone back to 2.6.29, installed a google play zip as the download in goo didn't work and it seems to be just fine. If anyone has a fix for 2.7.27 i'll give it a shot though.

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
Just coming back to MIUI after being gone for a couple months trying various other roms. No matter which one I used it was always missing something after being used to MIUI on my Droid X.
For the graphics glitches, are you running 2.6.29 or 2.7.27? And what kernel are you running?
I just reinstalled 2.6.29, aeroevan's latest v13 graphite kernel, and the 4/29 ics gapps and have yet to run into the graphics glitches. (the graphics were the main reason I tried other roms but aeroevans latest kernel fixes them in a few other roms so I thought I'd try)
With any luck between school and work I'll find some time to work on becoming a dev soon and get MIUI updated for vivow (don't hold your breathe but it's something I'd really like to do). My earlier development efforts fizzled out as MIUI GB was pretty much dead, MIUI v4 was being handled by nitsuj quite well, and there were numerous other roms for the Inc 2 already.
ED: While I'm trying to get my own thing going I'm currently messing with some settings on khamsakamal48's rom to see if I can figure out the CDMA issue. The base he uses has functional CDMA and his build.prop seems to disable it so my first try is messing around with the build.prop. I'll update here as I find things.
ED 2: Just editing the same post since no one has replied yet.
In the couple hours I've been messing with this thing I've gotten voice to work. Data is still broken and it tells me I'm on 'vodafone NL' but it's a step in the right direction. What I've accomplished so far has been done with only build.prop changes for those who are curious.Last edited by aaronc222; 09-21-2012 at 01:41 PM. Reason: Partial Success

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
So I'm giving up on getting CDMA working properly in the GSM v4. I'm going to be rolling my own tonight. I still have to decide on a base but I'm leaning towards aeroevans 9/5 CM9 with his new v14 kernel.
If it works I'll get it uploaded so people can test and start my own thread.

Re: {Rom}(8.3.12) MIUI.US 2.7.27 R1 (4.0.4 ICS)
Looks like 72ls1 broke some ground on CDMA for khamsakamal48's build on xda. Looks like they're shooting for this weekend to release it.
In the meantime I haven't made much progress myself between the Supra wanting attention and the yard needing work. I'd like to get a build going that's based on miui.us instead of miuiandroid.com.
