Q: Will you be continuing work on this beyond this (hopefully successful) attempt...and can we expect MIUI4 weekly? *5.19.12
A: Yes, I've become quite the fan of MIUI 4 since I began porting it! Even when I get a new phone, I will still keep my inc2 to port miui (might need help with logcats and such though for data).

Q: Why doesn't (insert issue) work?!?!?!?!
A: Well it could be 1) my fault as I haven't gotten it working yet 2) an issue introduced by a particular weekly build of MIUI 3) it doesnt work in vivow aosp ics yet

Q: How can I help out?
A: Short of taking over for me, testing and bugreporting is the biggest help you can give ....however anyone interested in contributing or working with me on it and has experience with making roms and smali editing, lmk.

I like MIUI-Au's guidelines, so I'm going to repost them

Bug-Reporting Guidelines

Consider the following “Big Five” statements:

• I have been able to Reproduce this bug.
• I have attempted a Full Wipe and Re-Flash.
• I have checked and can confirm that this bug has not already been reported.
• I have read the ENTIRE post and followed it’s instructions TO-THE-’T‘ (and still experience this bug....and IT IS NOT A NOTED BUG IN THE OP!!!!!!!!).
• I have NOT restored anything from a GingerBread Backup.
• DO NOT post a bug-report if any of them are FALSE.

When posting a bug-report, format is at follows:
1. (One sentence description of bug).
2. Affirm that the “Big Five” statements are true.
3. Instructions for reproducing the bug.
4. a LOGCAT output for the FATAL EXCEPTION (if the bug is an app crash or reboot), or ‘df’ output (if the bug relates to low free storage space). To get the output, run “adb logcat > pathtotextfile” or “adb shell df > pathtotextfile” as appropriate.
5. Any other useful information.
Bug reports which do not follow the above procedure do not help me or the Incredible 2 community at all! (ok I changed that a bit)
6. Please see a sample bug report (not real)

Issue: Music force closes when skipping tracks
Wiped data and reflashed: yes

Logcat: (dropbox or whatever link to .txt file containing logcat) [please verify that in the logcat the actual error/force close is contained]

MIUI 2.3.2 Release 1

*added Goo-Inside.Me app (hopefully future updates will be available OTA using it, assuming I don't screw it up)
*using 2.2.24 MiuiSystemUI.apk, Settings.apk and Miui-AU Control.apk due to numerous issues I was encountering with the 2.3.2 versions...if I am able to fix I will release later this week
*due to using these apks, configuring notifications is not available from 2.3.2 changelog
*some misc changes here and there

Thanks heaps nitsuj17. Bringing the Inc2 to latest releases is great indeed. Have 2 daughters with Inc2's and have been waiting to upgrade them from the 1.12.30.

Just attempted to install, but after two attempts that didn't stick, my phone has gone the way of the brick. Won't charge, no lights, not turning on at all. Havent ever had this happen with a new ROM install... There's probably a proper thread for this, but any suggestions as they pertain to this particular install?

just a quick update...having issues with 2.3.9 and probably not going to post it

since i cant find any sense devices running it for ics i have nothing to compare to and/or pull fixes from and i dont have much time tomorrow or thursday

might just skip to 2.3.16 and work on that

ok, had some time last night cuz my work meetings ended early, and miui-au updated so i was able to pull fixes from it

• updated to aerovan's 3-13 cm9 base
• market downloads seem to work w/o terminal fix (for me at least)
• 2.3.9 Miui.us supported rom
• modded MiuiHome (launcher) by leechmiui and 0xD34D: customizable # of roms/columns on homescreens
• NO 4-1 reboot (android.policy was an issue i was having all week so I couldnt use it from miui.us and miui-au didnt add it this week...will try and patch if i get time today)
• did not include control app to move status bar layout as it hasnt been updated since 2.2.24 and i dont like using old apks/jars

So far, the only thing I have seen that isnt working is the camcorder and flash still. Ffc works, so does rear camera, no tearing. Even face unlock works in this build.

I've always kept several versions of any given ROM at hand, in case I want to switch back to an earlier version.

Your splendid ROM could, if you don't mind, be a tad more consistently named.
