Unfortunately, I think the OP has moved on from updating this.
It's a fantastic theme as it is and is one of the most complete.
If it's not updated for awhile I'll ask for permission to take it over.

If you are having trouble with applying the theme, try putting it in the miui/themes folder on your sd card....then when you go to the theme manger it should be already there ready to be applied

Also i have not updated the theme due to 1) not really any framework changes to miui in any recent builds that i have noticed and also 2) the theme is already very big in file size and i feel that after running it for a few days it really bogs my phone down...not really 100% sure if its theme related but when i stick with stock (default theme) i don't really notice it. I am also running a D1 so that could just be the issue that it has trouble with all the pictures and minimal RAM or whatever might be the case, but when i can get a phone that's worth upgrading to that will run Miui, i guess ill find out....what did any of you guys have in mind that needs updating??

djmace does the updating for the weather app so he would have to answer that question...

Minor update links are up! fixed up a few loose ends and optimized the theme to run a little better.....Finally had some time in my life to dedicate to droid!

Is the weather actually animated on the widget or is that only with the iPhone version?

Thats only iphone version....Believe me if droid could run gif images it would be animated!

Just stumbled on this one. wow I gotta try it if I can figure out what all that fancy widget business is about. Getting all the stuff over to the sd now to give it a go on the DX.

Thanks.. I think I got it running ok except I'm not so sure about the zips.. and since I'm running an iMac I think it makes 7zip not so feasible.

In any case, though it looks a bit busy on my DX, as I've noticed dark themes tend to.. but wow, very thorough and detailed. Glad to see development continue .. first saw this theme today. I bet it'd be gorgeous on a tablet with a screen large enough to show off the details and icons.

I downloaded the app, then the theme, it is a txt file so no need to unzip, when I paste it into the recommended folder and try to use the widget I can't seem to access the themes as if they are not there....should I be putting the theme files into the apps themes?

Okay, for the weather all you have to do is download the Fancywidgets apk put it anywhere on your sd card and install it via (any file manager) then download the theme zip and (yes) unzip it (extract files) after the unzipping you will be left with a folder....now inside that folder is 2 more folders (Elite skewed and Elite weather) cut or copy those 2 folders. Now to locate properly where to paste them is as follows....plug in your phone and get to the sd card and look for a folder that says (Android) click it, now click the folder that says (data) now find the folder that says (fancywidgets) and click that and finally click on the folder that says (weatherskins) NOW paste those 2 folders from earlier right in there! Now you should be able to go into settings in the FW app under weatherskin and apply the style you like...... hope this helps

1 more thing....it does not have to be the paid version!

OK, I'm dl-ing, these files from my phone.. When I download the themes its not in a zip, I think it's coming up as. Txt

I may have to try using my comp, and to do this..... However I think it's the download not working well with me... It's dew not a zip

Yes downloading from your phone is definitely the problem... if you follow my steps from above after downloading on your computer you will be fine I checked the download link it works correctly

I've seen that .txt thing on several different download sites.. Typically don't sweat it if you know what it's supposed to be (.zip or .mtz or other). I just rename it with the correct extension and keep on rockin'.

Another clarification question on the weather skins..
I think we need to run the OP post version of Fancy Widgets and NOT the latest rev on the market, because the OP post version is "modified" to accomodate the skins, correct?

Yep, I have been in contact with djmace an he's gonna update the newest version soon....so download the version in the OP for now

New weather images and skewed version links are up! if you already have the FW modded apk all you need to do is redownload the weather images and replace the ones on your sd card with these!

Big News Coming!!! Especially for the loyal followers of this theme... I think me and "DJMACE" have nailed down animated weather on the lockscreen!!!!!! Still a little more testing but looking VERY promising!!! Even better news you don't have to buy any app!!
