MIUI 2.2.10 Installation Procedure

Hi, did anybody develop the procedure to install MIUI 2.2.10 onto SGS i9000.

I'm currently on i9000XXJVU.

Help please?

The only way I've ever used MIUI installation is:
First install-
A) Make sure you have stock ROM installed.
B) Root (obvious you already have this done) and install clockwork. The speedmod kernel makes sure your rrecovery goes to clockwork as the stock SGS i9000 recovery one has limited option.
C) Make necessary backups
D) Reboot into recovery
E) Wipe Dalvik & Partition
F) Install Zip from SD card, Choose Zip, Install and Reboot.

If you already have previous version of MIUI and are just updating make sure new Zip is in root of SD and follow C to F without factory reset.

Thanks. I've managed to flash MIUI in. However, I realize now it's not rooted. How can I do that? And if I root it now, does it wipe out everything again?

It should still be rooted.
Check again, open terminal emulator and type
Su
Press enter and it should return a # and grant superuser permission to terminal emulator.
If its not rooted, you can get z4root (from www.4shared.com) and perm root it again, it re-roots in the event that the root has stopped or is broken and should be safe to do. It will root and reboot itself and then open terminal emulator and check after the reboot

use the following instruction to root your mobile and install cyanogen on it

the put miui rom to your mobile and apply it using recovery
