Broken for me too, now I'm trying Kernel_3.0.46_Jellytime_r18.2

I decided to try Kernel_3.0.46_Jellytime_r18.2 yesterday morning. I have not had to do a battery pull since I flashed this newer kernel. Previously since flashing the 2.10.12 ROM update I had been having to pull the battery up to three times per day due to the phone freezing up. Here is how I flashed the newer kernel:
1) Download the new kernel zip file from http://jellytime.googlecode.com/file...time_r18.2.zip
2) Reboot into recovery
3) Flash zip file Kernel_3.0.46_Jellytime_r18.2.zip
4) Wipe Dalvik cache
5) Reboot
I think this is the latest kernel for our new base ROM (JellyTime) and it seems to have some bugs fixed vs. the kernel 3.0.45 version.

Just flashed 2.10.19 + inspiremod. Holy. Crap. I've never had instant GPS lock like that. Had 6 satellites within 30seconds following the first boot.

I did see a few glitchies, so I'm preparing to reflash with a full wipe, as per usual. They were some graphical glitches (scrambled characters), as well as a gap between the notification window and the bottom border, allowing me to see a sliver of my homescreen. Also, the new user app doesn't display the screenshots I added, and force closed as well. I will check all these after full wipe/reflash.

The new transition effects are nice.. but they are honestly straight from iOS - makes me feel a little silly for trying to defend MIUI from people who say it's so close to iOS...

Blind, is there a flashable zip for these animations that you referred to a long while ago? I'm a noob who's trying his hand temporarily with a non-miui CM10 based rom. I've relentlessly scoured this and other forums for a solution. Maybe you could point me in the right direction. I sorely miss those animations, and like you I was a bit gutted to know they were iOS rips. They still cool...

You should absolutely always wipe dalvik when flashing a kernel. Whether or not it's before or after the actual flash doesn't matter as long as it's before boot.

No, no flashable zip or anything. You can try using the anim folder from framework-res into your framework-res.. might not work, though.

-in whatsapp, after "Take a photo", single or double tap on screen force closing miui. For each crash a black image is saved in gallery
-in "Permissions" after tapping "menu" button the screen goes blank without bring up the sub menu
-screen glitches during navigation
-in "Miui Toolbox" Color customization doesn't work

Kang Bang Kernel v0.8 stable works great on this rom.

I'm new to this forum (joined today). I have upgraded my HTC Inpsire 4G with latest MIUI (2.10.19 JZO54k) version. I'm having same problem as Post_2 mentioned. Also I don't see FM radio app. I need FM radio (Without internet), can anybody tell which app to download or are you guys going to support that? Please advise.

I had a few glitches on my first flash of this version, and re-flashed and was sure to do a full wipe, and avoided restoring system data, and almost every glitch was gone. This is one of the most stable versions in a while, despite being resource hungry. Currently on the included kernel, but I might test out KangBang v0.8 to compare.

Hi xpurtwitness, yes, I do a data, cache and dalvik wipe. So do you have not any of the issues that I reported?

Yes xpurtwitness I have done all clean wipe on old version of Andriod (2.3.3 Frayo) including caches and installed this latest MIUI. Also I installed twice but same issue. My main concern is I don't see FM radio app that should work without internet. Before I install MIUI I have tested my device on Frayo and FM Radio worked there. Moreover, I have installed new FM radio app now from Google Play but it does not work on MIUI.

Can you please help to resolve this issue?

Hi all, I just installed the version 2.10.12_4.0.zip on my DHD, restarted the device and after a while it was stuck on a black screen with the MIUI label. Any ideas what I should do??

Yes: download and install 2.10.19. It's working pretty well, so far. :-) You can mount your SD card for USB transfer of the file from within CWM Recovery. Backups and full wipe is the way to go! Also, try alternate kernels if the included kernel doesn't work.

Wow, just updated to the latest version and it works like a charm! Until now I experienced no bugs I had with the previous version(s).

- no freeze so far (though I can not tell after just 2 hours)
- swiftkey working as it should
- facebook app does not crash
- chrome does not crash (also other browser don't either)
- camera working perfectly
- no other bugs

Yeah, I think the only noticeable issues I'm having right now are: graphical glitches (intermittent, but constant in Chrome), galleries won't show various albums and photos, high resource consumption. But yes, a rather nice release.

So far, I've had no random restarts on 2.10.19 (full wipe) + inspiremod (for inspire 4g only) + kangbang kernels (currently on "performance" v1.2). Chrome and Camera/Gallery apps are really the only gripes. Then again, Chrome has always been a monster for me.
