I've been having this weird issue with bluetooth where it will recognize my speakers and play music, but no audio comes out of the speakers. I'm using the latest ROM and the included kernel, and I even did a full wipe, where the speakers worked for one day, then the next, the problem came back.

Anybody else have this or know what to do?

edit Works after changing my bluetooth name.

For folks that are experiening the the lock screen issue (screen unlocks, then goes to a blank but backlit screen, have to turn off screen and unlock a second time), I found this over at the MIUIAndroid forum, and am testing it out now




I'm really curious to know how many people are experiencing it.

Disable HW overlays seems to have fixed this video issue with the screen going black. Found it on another site. Settings- development- enable disble HW overlays

Have you tried disabling the lockscreen audio?

i have HTC DHD and when i root phone on any rom miui, and others my flashlight dont work, i can took nice picture in darked rooms, on night city walking and others. Can anybody help me what to do?

Yes, indeed. Still not a solution for me. I feel these settings are delaying the first appearance of the issue, and then it comes in full force. The worst part is this is a warranty replacement because my volume keys broke on the last phone and this one's power button is so flush with the case, this is a nightmare.

Keep the lockscreen audio disabled and disable hw overleys ettings- development- enable disable HW overlays. The problem doesnt happen on the lockscreen much anymore. You do still get the blackscreen minimal tho

Has anyone else had any problems with the mobile network? I started using MIUI a few weeks ago and it was working fine, now data isnt working properly on my Telus DHD, and its really odd because it works through wifi tethering on the mobile network. wifi also works perfectly fine. no other issues regarding the cell network connections, phone calls and sms work perfectly

I seem to have a problem with the latest MIUI JB (v4 2.9.14) roms with my Desire HD regarding SD contents and the media scanner. I've already done a clean install of the rom (Factory reset, install rom, wipe cache+dalvik) and everything seems to boot up fine. when I invoke the media scanner from the miui tools, the gallery can detect some of the pictures but there are picture folders which are not detected. As for the music player, it cannot detect any of the music files/folders. I've also formatted my SD card via my phone and re-added my media files but still no luck after running the media scanner. I can, however, see my media files via the included file explorer in miui.

looking into the log (from alogcat), media scanner seems to crash every time I invoke it.

I've also tried using the app SDRescan but it just throws the same error.

Weird thing is I'm now currently using MIUI 2.3.9 (GB) and everything seems to work well. The gallery and music player can all detect my media. Could this be a kernel problem? I'm lost as I've already tried 2 SD cards.

Apps that are having issues: Facebook (opens, begins to load, then sends me back to the home screen), Gallery (both - while loading the album lists, it sends me back to the home screen or the app that brought me there, also won't show all my pictures until I view them first in ES File Manager), Camera360 (very glitchy graphics while taking pics), MIUI Forum app (often FC when I scroll to the unread messages), ES File Manager (can't get root privileges, even though it's allowed in Permissions app)

This is what I have been doing. I still have the issue. I also feel the screen times out sooner than the 1 minute I have it set for. Important to note that the option for hw overlays is reset any time I restart the phone.

With the default messenger. Specifically when a SMS pops up and I reply, it fades to black. There are other actions which cause it to fade black outside of the SMS app, but I can't quite put my finger on specifically what they are yet. I'll write them down when they happen.

I think you are experiencing a similar problem as me. Sometimes when I unlock my screen, everything looks ok, until about the second or third "button" press, not including keyboard (except the enter key) and then it performs that action, but my screen fades to black. I can see some letters for about 1-2 seconds as it fades out.
