[ROM] MIUI.us v4 JB 4.1

I just installed 2.8.17 from a clean wipe, and there seem to be a couple of problems for me. Firstly, I choose the WiFi encryption settings but no password box comes up, when manually entering the network name and details. Secondly, I am having a problem with permissions manager crashing (see logcat, if I've done that right), and occasionally MIUI Home crashes but I'll leave that for now. Any ideas?

EDIT: It turned out that permissions manager crashes when trying to ask permission, but I set it within the app to allow and it's working fine.

Still a problem with WiFi though, and for some reason neither gallery is showing my older photos. Still, it's usable now, so thank you for bringing out JB so soon!

Miui with JB is nice! Also google now is pretty cool.
I still have some bugs, one which is very frustrating.

* During calls my touchscreen isn't locked (proximity sensor not working?) which results in random beeps and hangups...

Randomblame released a new beta for cm10 which fixes auto bright and synergy released a kernel for Bluetooth last night as well. Will those fixes be worked into this weeks build?

Tried 2.8.24, it kept restarting, so went back to 2.8.10_v2...no dice, it just hangs on the "loading" screen after installing. Is there anything we need do to revert from JB to ICS?

I have a HUGE bug! I'm not sure whats causing it but the bug is:
If I connect to WiFi after about 15 min the entire network will crash and no device in that network can access the internet.
Turning WiFi off and everything works as usual in after 10 sec.
This bug started to happen for me in 2.8.17 and is still there in 2.8.24. It took a while for me to figure out that my phone was causing everything to go crazy.
I gone as far as reinstalling the stock ruu and then installed the rom again. Didn't work.
I have now downgraded to 2.8.10 and the problem disappeared.
When my network went down my router registered my device with like over 10 ip addresses. And not local ip addresses but addresses such as my ISPs gateway and other strange addresses that i have no idea what they are. (2.8.10 only registers one ip address and it's a normal local address)
Yesterday when I was in school I crashed the entire school network and no one was able to connect to the internet until I turned my WiFi off!
This bug only occur for me in the JB builds, ICS doesn't have this issue.
Am I the only one that have this issue or is it happening to others as well?

Follow-up:
from the MIUI loading loop...
1. nandroid backup (yes, I know the ROM would be useless, but I was banking on my apps not having been affected)
2. full wipe of caches and data
3. flashed 2.8.24, KangBang 0.7.2 test3, inspiremod 0.5 (always have needed inspiremod) all from the same recovery session, in that order
4. booted successfully
5. restored selected apps and data (not all) via Titanium's "extract from nandroid" (how cool is that?)
6. attempted a reboot, was caught in a reboot cycle. would get to unlock screen then reboot
7. from recovery, cleared caches and fixed permissions, rebooted
8. successful boot, apps with data seem reasonably ok
bugs/errors:

• getting "permissions manager" error when an app attempts to gain root privs. when i "allow" the app manually, there is no error.
• when sliding to unlock screen, it goes "blank" but backlit. have to hit power button to turn the screen off, power to turn screen back on and slide again. this seems to happen more when the screen goes to sleep
• -edit- when sliding (on unlock screen) to messages, phone, or camera as opposed to the lock symbol, I don't seem to be having the screen shut-off issue.
• occasionally selecting an app for the first time or some options within an app will also shut the screen off, as in the previous note
• -edit- neither gallery app will show my SD card albums. no menu options available in android gallery. when choosing to explore SD card in miui gallery, as soon as i start to scroll through the folders to find my picture folders, i am exited to the home screen.
• -yet another edit- after another reboot (purposeful ;-) i don't seeeem to experience the lockscreen issue as often. it does happen when the lockscreen times out, as well. gallery issue persists, except for files i viewed manually through ES File Explorer, they then show up in the gallery....odd.

I have only tried the wifi at home, and so far it's working ok.

Yes It has been this way on MIUI for many builds. I know that when I adjust the brightness, they come on temporarily until the screen sleeps. Then they're gone again. Considering they are essential keys, I wish we could get a fix for it.

Me too. I'm on Ice Cold Sandwich now because of this and the battery life/lag issues. Would love to get back to MIUI. Miss the phone firewall feature that I so direly need.

I will say I think I notice a pretty snappy response in this build, though battery is suffering. Resources are still a bit high.

Even camera recording seems to work, the only thing I've noticed that's obviously not working is that I can't add Facebook to accounts. Gets stuck on the loadingscreen, no big issue for me though..

I'm a new member in this forum. I use HTC Desire HD. After MiUi.us announce about Jelly Bean available i tries to download it and flash into my phone. I like this ROM so much. But i found some error such as:
1- Bluetooth not working
2- WiFi not stable, difficult to search WiFi and after connected it's disconnect automatically. WiFi service is low.
3- When phone sleep we need to click power button for phone wake up. I need to do it two times before i can see home screen(If do it one time, system show only black screen).
4- Ringtone can't selected form memory card. I can use only system ringtone.
5- We can't play video and record video. While recorded, system show the message "unfortunately, gallery has stopped.
Finally, many thank for MIUI.US team that provide Jelly Bean for us. Any problem i will inform you later developer.

This seems like a problem with your router rather than the ROM. Make sure you don't have an app like WiFiKill, then make sure you router isn't connected to too many devices at a time.

1. blind included a link to a kernel that will allow bluetooth to work. Scroll back a few posts and flash that. ^_^
2. I haven't had any wifi issues yet.
3. I have this same problem!
4 & 5. Haven't tried these yet.

I also noticed that when I long press home and go into the task manager, when I slide an icon up or down, its image is frozen in the up or down position, but the button can't be pressed. When I press on the "blank" space where the icon should be, it takes me to the app.
