I found another bug: It's been a long time I was on Wifi. If I want to switch from Wifi to 3G, I turn off wifi and turn on 3G and nothing happens. To make it work, I have to reboot the phone or turn on and off airplaine mode.

This bug didn't happen a lot but at least 3 times. I don't know if you can do something blind ?

Hi you all

Whenever I try to initiate a search with the Google search bar widget, the browser opens and ignores whatever I've typed and it opens with a Google search tab not searching for anything whatsoever, forcing me to retype my search keywords.

I did select Google as a default search provider.

Do I miss something here?

I've had issues where I feel certain apps are hijacking data after running for a while, or running as a background app. When I force them closed, my data seems to snap back. But really not much of a problem for me in switching between wifi and data.

I've just found and fixed this issue, tomorrow's build will allow you to search from the URL bar.

Just built a 2.8.3 with BR5 and got everything set up for tomorrow. The ROM should be up shortly after MIUI.us ROMs are up.

Some warnings.

With BR5, LCD density cannot be changed. Also there is a new touchscreen driver and legacy fixes have been removed, so don't flash a different kernel on top of tomorrow's build.

I can confirm the latest versions of YouTube and Play Music are working beautifully.

Since you're moving to BR5, I suspect this is a definite "need to full wipe" situation? If so, I'll wait for 2.8.10 and do it all at once. And Inspiremod will still be ok, if needed?

Blind! Thanks for all the great work on this. The Youtube and the Music apps you posted work perfectly well, so that was a good fix.

I just wanted to post that in the latest version 2.8.10, the latest versions of Youtube and Play Music still force close on mine. I did a complete wipe.

Hmmmm, I don't know what happened. They worked in my 2.8.3 with BR5, but they are Force Closing on my 2.8.10 as well.... I don't quite understand why..

In 2.8.3 i had YT app you linked here. Then i did wipe all/factory reset and upgraded to 2.8.10.. YT app was still working. In Google Play was an update for Youtube. Don't upgrade.. upgraded Youtube app is Force closing!
I saw two new apps Virus scanner (app completely in chinese language) and Screen security which has chinese icon label.
Carrier (Orange) is with black font whatever theme I use. Is it only by me?

Anyway this build works great. Hey 'blind', good job as usually

Need to use old versions of each, it's a problem with the base.

You need not do a full wipe. Also, inspiremod-0.5.zip works fine (and is definitely needed in my case, as always, to fix the aptly-named "tinny audio")!

5ulo, I have a different carrier than you (mine is AT&T) and I also have the carrier logo showing up in a black font by default. I was able to fix it right away with the MIUI.us Toolbox Custom Color Settings for Carrier Label color.

Hi blind, can you answer me few questions, please..

1. In MIUI 2.3.7, there were app called "Monitor", where I could see called minutes and sent SMS, is it included also in 4.0.4?
2. How to lock MIUI launcher, so I can use scrollable widgets?
3. In the previous and latest version, which installs two new apps (anti virus and the privacy app) I found a bug with custom carrier text colour.
