[ROM] MIUI.us v4 JB 4.1

Is anyone else have force close issues with Google Play Music and Youtube. I updated the apps last week and since then the apps won't even open. They immediately force close.

All I've done is a complete wipe, reinstall of the latest MIUI v4. Nothing seems to work. I tried going back to GB, and the apps worked. But who would want to go back now? This is an excellent ROM. Any thoughts/ideas would be wildly appreciated.

Edit: I just reread this thread. It looks like one other person is/was experiencing this issue. No resolution though, from what i saw..

The latest Play Music force closes on me as well, I restored an older version and I use that.. I think there may be an issue with the base, I saw someone in the thread mentioning not upgrading the YouTube app... I'll see if I can fix the issue with Play Music, for YouTube we may need an older apk that I'll attach to a post, and it will go into future roms.

Photos have been severely decreasing in quality with both the stock camera and 3rd party apps.

Is there any way to fix this?

I'm having the exact same issue with the youtube app. The moment I launch it it immediately force closes. I the same happens to the MIUI update app.

Also i love MIUI launcher for its simplicity but i was wondering if there is a way to hide certain apps, i dont wanna install another launcher as I like miui's.

Just make folder called e.g. unused apps and move there all apps you want

Ok, I'm having trouble with certain apps that won't work over data connection, but do on wifi. However, while on data connection, I can still receive texts and use other apps (such as Google Talk) that require data. This is a clean install of 2.7.27 on a brand new Inspire (without Inspiremod this time). I'll try reflashing and with Inspiremod to see if it's related to that.

(edit) I've also been wondering how to revert to the base theme that's included in MIUI v4. I've seen so many that call themselves Default, and of course, I've probably overwritten the one on my new device already. Oy...

(edit - again) So, I tried downgrading to 2.7.13, which had been great for me. But it turned into a FC nightmare before I could even unlock the screen. Cleared cache and dalvik, fixed permissions, same issue. So I reflashed 2.7.27 with the idea of backing up and doing another full wipe. No more FC but still data issues, but it seemed like a couple things worked that hadn't before, so I held off wiping. Finally this morning, the worst offending apps seeeeeem to be pulling in the cellular data... That is random. If the issue creeps up again, I'll let you know. Should I be sending a logcat anyway?

Hi to you all.

I switched back to miui on my Desire HD (2.7.27.0) and had some problems too.

I solved the YouTube issue with an older version from an old backup version 2.4.4 if I recall correctly.

The native miui launcher had also some fc issues and is replaced here with the apex pro launcher.

Since then everything is running smooth.

Good to know. By the way, I wanted to point out that 2.7.27 had ZERO FC for me! So something went really right there. ^_^ It was probably the biggest resource hog, though. I'm hoping this week goes back in the other direction with resources. I actually had apps just keep closing in the background.

I confirm the bug when you want to launch a youtube video into the browser, it closes the browser. It's the single bug for now =)
