Re: [ROM] MIUI.us v4 ICS
I've got a new 2.6.29 built with existz aospX BR3-test3 with working camcorder at 480p. Be sure to only attempt to record at 480p.

Re: [ROM] MIUI.us v4 ICS
Hey Bliind, I have downloaded the new rom as of 7/1/12 twice now and each time I hang on the miui.us screen. I wipe everything and do a fresh install with no luck. When I back up to Friday the 29th release I'm all good. Is this just happening to me? I am excited to use the stock video cam. Thanks for all of your hard work and frequent updates.

Re: [ROM] MIUI.us v4 ICS
Hi blind, just installed this ROM over the weekend and its awesome... just had one question, is there any way to disable the homescreen from rotating into landscape mode (the homescreen only, I would still like to have auto rotate on for the browser and other apps).
Thanks !!

Re: [ROM] MIUI.us v4 ICS
Your homescreen rotates to landscape? Mine certainly doesn't, at least without the MIUI Toolbox. But it looks a little messy, so I still don't use that. Was yours rotating some other way?
FYI 2.6.29 seems pretty stable for me, so far. I tested it with and without the LordMod kernel you list on the first post for kicks, and the built-in kernel is much more stable for me. :-) I also like that the ROM install screens changed from the ICS logo "optimizing apps" to an MIUI version. Very nice. Any way to kill the super-bright HTC screen? :-p
Only thing I've noticed lately, is that there seems to be quite a lag between switching apps, or selecting an option in an app and waiting for a response.

Re: [ROM] MIUI.us v4 ICS
There still seems to be some lag here and there, I'm trying to get the memory consumption down as low as possible, but I'm running out of ideas.
The bright white HTC screen is up to you to change.. That's your splash screen and I'm pretty sure you're going to need ENG HBOOT and then with some help of either a small binary called nbimg if you're on windows, or ffmpeg if you're on linux, you can turn any image into a replacement for that bright white HTC screen. I've always flashed my splash images in fastboot: fastboot flash splash1 splash.imghTC Inspire 4G

Re: [ROM] MIUI.us v4 ICS
Ok, I'll definitely look into that. Thanks for the tip, man!
As far as memory consumption--being slightly less-than-knowledgeable, I may be off-track here. However, I feel like when I long-press home to switch apps, I noticed that this and the previous build kept me under 700MB used most of the time. And I had recalled at least the 2.6.15 build had consistently approached the max. So, in other words, it appears that memory consumption went back down a touch, recently. I suppose the auto-start permissions option that was incorporated may play a role in this. Would that make sense?

Re: [ROM] MIUI.us v4 ICS
Same here. Setting simply won't open. Fortunately for me, the only setting I regularly change is Tethering and there's apps and widgets for that. Hopefully this will get fixed in the next update.

Re: [ROM] MIUI.us v4 ICS
I have problems with Root Permissions.
Permission Manager seems to work fine, but the applications don't really get root access.
The LOGS shows that Root Permission Allowed on every app's request but no write access is given to the phone's memory)
I applied "fix permissions", cleared Cache, once again to make sure..
I disabled/re-enabled ROOT in general and also for each application individually..
Nothing worked.
- Apps tried:
ES File Explorer & Terminal Emulator
( I don't know if it appeared on 2.7.6 v2 or if it existed on a previous version, as I haven't used it on the last two or three weeks(versions) )
