Tweaks and useful apks
This is opinion based first off.. But if you have cold hard facts feel fee to put then on the table. What I want to get out if this thread is just that.
So I'll start things off and please throw in your two cents. No real "tweaks" here but as far as potentially helpful apps go I use auto killer.now is that useless with this rom? Redundant at least? Or is it doing what I think it's doing? Which is closing the app I opened an hour ago an hour before the system would of done it on it's own. If it even would have considered doing it on its own. So what do you think? My phone works very well. But is auto killer helping or slowing it down at this point?
What are you doing to help your phone along? I feel like there should be a lot more I can do.

Auto killers were never good. They drain battery and do slow your phone down. Just my two cents.
Ps.. miui has app killer on its own. When on home screen press home and hold for few seconds it'll open. Press kill all. It will..

Its not a task killer its a program called autokiller that requires root access. Its a governor for the rate at which apps are automatically killed by the system. I know that miui has an app killer button. And use it occasionally. Thanks for the input though check out autokiller and let me know what you think.

07-12-2011, 12:15 AM #7I do have tb pro and its a lifesaver , but just an fyi thing the included miui backup app works way better when using miui... i myself found myself having multiple backups now.. apps on tb pro, apps and system settings on miui backup, and an entire rom backup from rom manager.

This might seem obvious... But I freakin love Rom Manager... Ringdroid is great too for making your own ringtones. One I cannot live without is Torque. If you have an obdII car and a bluetooth adapter this makes troubleshooting problems with your car a breeze. Money well spent.

Thanks for your input
I've been loving kernel manager lately myself. I ride bicycle mostly but will keep that car thing in mind.

OP here.. anywho.. i left auto killer since this thread.. now im using Supercharger V6 script and it seems to be effective.. though i dont really have any scientific tests to prove that.. otherwise i dont use many other utility apps other then the obvious rom and kernel managers still.

I am planning on putting some kind of script like v6 that hopefully will have the optimal settings for the Shift. I hope to have something for beta testing in the near future, so stay tuned for a beta link.

Kernel manager is convenient, however it does not seem to be up to date (or I'm just picky). Fellow biker here, My Tracks is sweet for making your own Google Maps and tracking all of your moving statistics.
Also used it to create a scavenger hunt and was able to share the map.
Also Gemini app manager, and a battery calibration app

hey jefftet that whole script with optimal shift settings idea i like a lot.. and m215koby i use my tracks to track my rides as well. zeppelin rox the creator of supercharger v6 script has a battery calibration script that works well also.

I started using the supercharger v6 script from zeppelinrox and I found it to be the most painless and effective way to tweak my memory usage.
