Yes, you can test by turning off your phone, taking out the sd card and turning it on. See if you get the problem without the sd card. If you don't it means the problem is the sd card and hence you need to make a backup and format it. Use something else than clockworkmod to format it, I've seen many reports of problems with clockworkmod. I use 4ext recovery and haven't had any sleep of death issues with this or any other rom.

just flashed the 2.8.10 version, but titanium backup cannot get root access...
went Tools -> Permissions -> change the Root Permissions, and restarted phone for several times... still the same

EDITED - I re-flashed the whole ROM and it is OK now....
but now i am having problem with MIUI-gapps always giving error.

I was able to fix the market FC error by replacing the play store application (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1580827) I tried with several versions but eventually it was 3.5.19 that worked. After doing that no more play store errors however I have realized that updating applications such as Gmail will cause FC. I have been using the rom for a couple of days now without updating apps and I don't get any FCs which I consider a success given the nice ROM this is.

Thanks, I tried and it works. It's a very beautiful ROM, I hope that the other problems with apps update and video recorder can be fixed.

Does anyone else has problem with the phone turning off by itself and the themes not working.... as well as the messages input field being too small? it is really annoying and I really like MIUI :/

I have themes and input field (with sms only), I don't have any reboots or phone turning off so possibly not a rom issue but something within the installation.

Is the developer still releasing builds every Friday? If so, where can I find the version from 8/24? The first page of this post still shows 8/10; so does the Updater app.

That shows v 2.8.10, which according to the version numbering scheme, is the version from 8/10.

Well there are all kinds of versions, aren't there. So far I've downloaded 1.12.23, 4_2.8.10, and 4_2.5.11. The OP talks about 4_2.6.1, 2.5.11, 2.8.10, and 4.0.3.

No idea which is right/newest. Disturbingly disorganized.

Well I went ahead and installed 2.8.10 in hopes that it's the latest one, and it doesn't work on my phone. Boots to the X, then reboots to the X and comes up in Recovery. Tried it 8 times. Wiped cache and dalvik and formatted sd-ext to ext4, and no change.

Don't know if |0xD34D| is still updating. Would be a pity...
but. there are still other miui ics and also miui jb releases for the nexus One.

OK so it sounds like MIUI.us isn't really up to date anymore. Shame. I've used it for years.

There is a ported alpha already in progress in xda. I personally haven't tried it.

I use V4 2.5.11 but GOOGLE PLAY apps always FC until i can't entered...
