Yes, I never got it working in before versions as well, so I just went back to GB. But came back to ICS now and discovered this, so thought I would share.

In terminal emulator, type su, then a2sd and this shows all the available commands. Then enter 'a2sd install'. It asks if you want to move dalvik-cahce, enter y, it will then ask if you want to move apps (paraphrasing here), enter y. It will ask to reboot, enter y. Phone reboots, I checked my memory and there was a very small improvement. Thankfully this time everything did not start to Force Close, and I suspect this is because of partitioning sd-ext to ext4, and also because of using 4ext recovery for making your partitions (4ext recovery makes partitions in a different order than AmonRa, and apparently this makes miui v4 stock a2sd work well without any hiccups . So I went through the command list again and saw the command xdata (which moves /data to /sd-ext/data. I did a little google on miui v4 a2sd, and read a little on it. I was not sure if you need to be on blackrose or what to use xdata. So I took a leap of faith (I do not have blackrose, and I use non-blackrose version) and entered in terminal emulator su, then 'a2sd xdata'. I dont remember if phone reboots but I am pretty sure it does, so just enter y when it prompts for reboot, and voila! After restart it shows that I have 0.99GB of Internal Memory, the whole ext partition!!

I did not update as I came from GB, so not sure. But I know for this weeks update I will just clear cache + dalvik-cache and flash the miui update. I am pretty sure gapps should still be there, but if for some reason they are not, then I will go back to recovery and flash gapps again. Good luck!

I did like you suggested and used xData.
Just to clairify, when you want to use xData, mage sure you have an ext3 or ext4 (preferably ext4) partition and just write a2sd xdata (no need to do a2sd install first). Answer yes to the prompts and reboot. This has a minor performance impact as all of data partition is moved to sdcard, but if you have a fast sdcard it is hardly noticeable.

As to Settings, my Buttons settings view now works (did a full wipe before 2.5.4 update) and monitor FC's from the icon, but works from notification (if I go over limit).
Recording video from camera stil FC's, but the rest seems to be stable. Rom is a bit faster, it would seem, and some more parts of themes are applied, but still no skinning of notification area and toggles for me ...

If, like you say, Settings are working for some, I would love to hear it, because since we are all using the same phone, there must be some difference, some reason as to why it is not working.
If Settings woks for you, post what recovery you are using, what Hboot (blackrose or stock), if you are using a2sd (and what script) and so on...

Incase it helps, I have blackrose installed, but never got around to actually repartitioning the flash. So I guess that is equivalent to a stock hboot(?).

Hi people:

I am having a very little strange problem with this rom. I have setted up in themes the different tones for calls and notifications, and in whatsapp i wanted to set the same tone as for sms... But for somestrange reason, when accessing to the notification setting in this app, it takes me to the themes apk, instead of going to the browser to select the tone.

Any help?
