[ROM][10/29/12] MIUI.us v4.1 Jellybean Edition

Hi everyone, i try this rom after one mouth. I have blackrose with 145 system and 60 cache. I use 4ext, wiped and formatted 2 times everything but using the blackrose version in the first reboot th Xlogo kept freez even if installation is ok. I try non blackrose version but I have Settings issue. I made something wrong?

no, for me only when tap "button" setting

Google account not exist
carrier logo & time are center
"button" settings crash
"Monitor" crash

Same for me, however "monitor" has been crashing since 2.4.6.

Hello all I'm new to the miui forum I'm not here to be a full noob or bug but I flashed today the latest build of this thread ice cream based off

And I have like 2 issues if some one could it would be awesome but ok

The settings foreclose on me ....
Is that normal ?

And any tips anyone like to anyone like to share with me it be great like how to keep running fast and sect etc etc etc

It should run with any recovery, but if you don't mind you could use other recovery. Perhaps 4ext recovery could solve your issue.

Others may have better knowledge, but I suspect your system partition wasn't wiped perfectly.
4ext recovery allows you to wipe/format all partitions except sdcard, so you can flash the rom from the scratch, nearly perfect clean install.

I just tried wiping/formatting/installing with ext4 and im stuck on the MIUI.US loading screen just like when i was using AmonRa.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the hard work. Update 2.4.27 causes couple of apps to FC and Service name and time are misplaced on status bar. Hopefully these bugs get fixed

After like half day using the build I'm happy but not fully satisfyed well I learn that sum ppl don't have a settings apk working

And I don't have a stock message app
And I know I can download another one after market too

Does anyone have a link for the second latest build ? Maybe that one works better

Have wifi issue, i can turn wifi on but can't find and wifi network eventhough I am 5 inches away from the router.

When downloading 2.4.27 (non-blackrose) the downloaded file has md5 EFEBF13B5D338CC407AFE7775ADBE363, not 52bf12fa09159de3c570027bdf21875d like written in firstpost.

Did the upload fail, or is the md5 just written wrong?

What are you guys seeing? (redownloaded file 3 times, same md5 each time)

Can a failed upload be the reason why so many are seeing FC in settings?

If you use the non-blackrose version, the default 145MB will do, if you use blackrose, I believe people are using 180-210MB, but not entirely sure.

Thank-you very much Requiem! I'm still having Issues though, when I open Play or Gmail or Talk it will immediately force close, but without a notification saying that it has, it literally just closes..... I also have no option in the accounts and sync to add a Google Account, anyone know anything? Have tried as normal, with Gapps, and removed the apps from the system .zip and installed Gapps but still the same problem?
Any help would be very welcomed!

You need to install gapps zip separately..

For non-blackrose version, I can confirm that there was an upload issue. Version 2.4.20 has the md5 that is listed for 2.4.27, and also during install it said it is installing 2.4.27 and after install it says that I have 2.4.27. Flashed gapps 2.4.27 right after and everything is working with some exceptions. Button settings under Complete Settings gives force close, and also Monitor app gives force close. When starting to record a video gives force close. Built in a2sd works as well. I have 4ext recovery, and partitioned my sdcard with 1gb ext4 partition and rest fat32.

is google play or google account details being added for anyone? I've installed 2.4.27 black rose (because the other one was broken) and flashed gapps 2.4.27 but the google apps do not work nor can I add an account in accounts and sync and ideas? also I should mention that the verficiation thing failed during flashing I had to toggle it off to flash the .zip because it wasn't signed
