Re: Miui.us Toro v4 by Magiman7 and Project_Fien_X
I noticed fast glow slipped by this week (I add it myself whenever it happens, no big deal) but this week apktool is throwing errors when I try to decomp. Guessing it's due to the mods to allow the toolbox to function (which is sweeet!) but I can't get the apk to decomp properly. Any tips? I just want to add the softkey glow mod into this weeks sysui.
PS. Faux has 18m out
PSS This week's build= Miui.us ftw

You encountered the anti kang . I'm guessing this week was more difficult than expected and the port was done manually instead of the build-bot. That is why the fastglo was overlooked . Maybe magiman will put out an update, but you are not going to be able to decimpile.

Re: Miui.us Toro v4 by Magiman7 and Project_Fien_X
Hey guys I'm very new to MIUI, flashed 2.6.8 on my GNEX last night for the first time and I've been playing around with it. I have 2 main questions, 1) is there any tips you guys can give a new user I have never touched MIUI before so I was wondering if there was anything I may be missing and may not be easily accessible by the settings, and 2) when I look through the themes app that came with the rom everything is in Chinese, is there a way to change that? thanks in advance.

Re: Miui.us Toro v4 by Magiman7 and Project_Fien_X
Definitely play with miui toolbox-- it was just added two updates ago and it gives so much more customizability. I think the launcher is a big feature of miui. An icon theme to check out is the Signa Community pack. http://forum.signa.li/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=17 It's great. And here you go for tips and stuff: http://goo.gl/IUNCO.

Are there any plans on adding the Linaro code to MIUI?
If you are wondering what linaro is, follow this link:

Re: Miui.us Toro v4 by Magiman7 and Project_Fien_X
Yes, I am working on adding linaro to our ports now. It won't be ready for the initial release of 2.6.15, but I am hoping to have a build with it in out before next week. Last thing I need to get fixed is the camera, everything else works.
People say that if you play Microsoft CD's backwards, you hear satanic things, but that's nothing, because if you play them forwards, they install Windows.
If at first you don't succeed, paint it shiny white and put an Apple logo on it. You can make a fortune on upgrades.

Great news magiman7! Any noticeable improvement?
With the addition on the MIUI tools you have finally convinced me to switch form AOKP. I have been wanting to for a while because MIUI is so much prettier and functional (IMHO) but the ROM still lags, especially in the launcher...any ideas why?

Should have test build with linaro optimization up Sunday... just doing some final testing to make sure I am not missing something.

MIUI.us Linaro Optimized Build
- This build includes linaro optimization.
- Linaro breaks native wifi tether, use a 3rd party app
- Build includes Google Apps, so no need for second zip file.
- Includes MIUI Toolbox. All mods in Toolbox now work, including Launcher mods.
Because this build is significantly different from 'official' versions, I would strongly recommend doing a full wipe. You are more than welcome to try flashing ontop of an 'official' MIUI versions, but if you have any issue, be sure to reflash wiping data to confirm the bug still exists.2.7.6 Linaro build md5: 10b282ae0e0a7abc8aac99f391be43c4
All credit for incorporating Linaro optimizations into android belong to Linaro team, Cyanogenmod team, and Team Kang AOKP. I just made their work mesh with MIUI. Without the great work of those devs, none of these ports would be possible.Last edited by magiman7; 07-06-2012 at 11:16 PM.
