Over on the XDA forums, just saw there's a new radio out for the Incredible from the Gingerbread OTA update...

Liking 2.15.10.07.07 seems overall faster. Also noticed that it has a signal sleep. Mine will be -80/-90 after 30minutes then make call goes to -63(on average). I have had as good as -41.

I'm getting a way better signal with the newest one. Was nervous about flashing a radio for the first time but glad I did it.

I did the airplane mode and *228 option 2. I even tried factory data reset, changing roms, although I know some of those things have nothing to do with the radio. Im about to "lose" my phone and fork over the $80.00 to get a replacement. This has been a real pain in the ass, especially when I'm trying to get work email and such. Any help would be great! I realize it's the risk you take when messing with radios and not fully understanding it.

Instead of committing insurance fraud, can't you just flash the froyo radio?
I just flashed new radio, no change in signal so far but it didn't brick and everything is working so far.
No complaints.Last edited by FramCire; 09-01-2011 at 09:46 PM.

Hi everyone! Long time lurker here.
I was wondering if there was any chance users would want to collaborate on a project where we post what general geographical area we live in and state what radio works best for us there.
I understand radios work well depending on where you live, and I thought that might help. I also understand privacy issues, so I thought we could keep this as general as people would prefer.
In the Chicagoland area, I have tried the three official radios, Eclair, Froyo, and GB, and found very little difference between them. GB had maybe a -2 drop from Froyo, with an average of -73.

For me I'm NY State the new GB 2.15.10.07.07 works best. I average -63 and have seen -43. But if the leaks and official incredible ones don't work try the EVO ones. 2.15.0.08.08 is the newest EVO radio, it sucked for me but some are getting better results. I flash each one and never had a problem going back. Just always have good charge and check md5.
