I posted some general info on MD5 on the second page. If that's not enough info to reassure you that's fine, but otherwise please do read the forums. That page I linked has another link to a page with more info on MD5 which further has a link to the Wikipedia page on MD5. There is a ton on info out there, the best reference I know of is on bullzip's info page, it's like a fingerprint for the file.

That's a great way to put it.
Dealing and flashing radio's is the most dangerous part of tinkering with your phone. It's the most likely to brick your phone in the event something goes wrong, such as flashing a corrupted file.
Going along the example listed above, MD5 "hashes" (the really long string of digits/letters) are generated for a file as a reference. When you download a file, especially a radio, you run an MD5 "checksum" and compare if to the listed MD5 sum. If everything matches up, you have a 100% perfect copy of the file. If some letters are off, your file is corrupt/bad.
It's the simplest, easiest and best way to make sure you don't make a terrible choice by flashing a bad radio and dicking up your multi-hundred dollar investment. Please thank your rom devs and moderators for all the thankless work they do to keep this site going!

Hey guys! Just wanted to say that I downloaded the GB Evo Radio from the OP and checked the MD5, unfortunately it didn't match the OP MD5. I then downloaded it 3x to be sure...still didn't match, so I downloaded the one from the link above, MD5 matched perfectly, it flashed within 30secs and my phone booted and is working normally.

No. I downloaded directly from the OP link on my PC. The alternative link I found in this thread matched the MD5 and that's the one I flashed

I did download from my pc
however, I did only use one verification program...which is one that you suggested (the Android version) could this be the problem? Anywho, still doesn't make sense to me because I downloaded from the alternative link you posted using the same pc and used the same Android MD5 checker, and it matched.

Try using a MD5 verification on your pc.
