    cant install apps

Can't install apps that I have. I've lifted the ban to let unknown sources install and still no go. All apps from market work.

    Re: MIUI v4 ICS (6-1-2012)

Currently downloading the current 2.6.1 R2 version, but I would like to point out that while running 2.5.11 I have been getting a "Not enough space on internal..." error when downloading various app updates. I believe even with apps that are only 2mb in size. Happened so far with Facebook, Chrome Beta, Google Maps, and some other things.

I have plenty of space--even deleted a few things--so I'm not sure what's causing it. Oh, I even wiped my cache (not factory reset) and Dalvik cache. I'll let you know if it happens with 2.6.1 R2.

Is the video bug fixed now where it would only play audio? Does it still lag? Don't feel like downloading this until I know these bugs have been fixed.

From titanium? Try a reboot then restore.

i haven't noticed a warning with apps on r2 yet. I've been using my Inc as my daily phone too.

Video record fix was not included. In order to do video you'll need to use videocam illusion and a 3rd party app like quickpic or double twist for playback. Mongoosehwlix is still working on the fix for evervolv. Once it works with that it will work for us.

Great job on this build. It is fast and more importantly, stable. The only issue I have, and it is very minor, is that I can't see or use the emoticons in texting.

Anybody else have problems with emoticons in their text messages?

I also get the internal memory is insufficient to install an app that is over 8 MB. But that is the only time that I have that problem.

Thanks again for your hard work and keeping the Incredible enjoyable.

no sir from my server smb where i have all my apps stored from the previous version of miui. I havent tried titanium yet but i guess the apps from 2,3,2 are not compatible with 4.0 ics.

even if an app states that its compatible with ics it still wont install, even if i copy app to sdcard.

I restored all my apps with Titanium and I had no problem. I would give it a shot.

update all apps installed from titanium. I noticed after installing one app miui asks if i trust this app and asked me if i would like miui to monitor it. what is running in miui so it can moniter apps and how can i disable it?

Its going to be a pia jumping from roms to install apps via titanium. hopefully there is a fix

    thanks

just noticed cant mount storage to pc

Go into manage permissions there is a toggle for monitoring. Although it should only ask this once per app.

I also use titanium for backup and restore been working great for me. Even restoring apps with data work fine.

Oh and nothing beats titanium batch restore. Its quick and makes switching roms really easy for me.

    Re: MIUI v4 ICS (6-1-2012)

In the immortal words of George Takei (Sulu), "OH MY"...

Blew away my GB installation last night and setup the new version this morning. I'm REALLY happy to report that I've had no random reboots yet. Wifi working beautifully. Netflix works. Hulu plus didn't work when I installed it, but after a reboot it works. (I had fuzzy video, like I was watching a cable channel that I don't subscribe to!) YouTube works, but it didn't at first, either. The only thing that isn't working as far as I can tell is the Video cam. (And the camera seems a little glitchy.) I've got numerous camcorder apps on the phone, including Illusion, and it's not working. Oh, and I'm unable to mount USB storage with the Multi-Mount SD Widget, but I have a suspicion that I just need to play with it because it's my understanding that that is supposed to work in this version? (I forgot, MLBatBat 2012 won't show video either (same problem I had with YT at first, I get sound but the picture is too fuzzy to see anything).

I am seeing a little sluggishness, but it's too early to tell what that's about. Might just need some tweaking.

WOW!!! What amazing progress. Beautiful work.

Update: 6/13 - Random reboots started last night. Not debilitating but frustrating. Everything else working beautifully other than the stuff listed above. Got the multi-sd mount app to work too, and Skype.

Hey I just started using this rom (which is really great) and I was just wondering what the procedure was when updating. Which do I wipe and which do I not need to wipe?

This is from Marks OP not me just to clarify.

    My Recommended Install Prodedure

    1. Backup Original rom
    2. wipe data/ factory reset
    3. go to mounts and storage
    4. wipe /boot
    5. wipe /system
    6. install
    7. fix permissions in /advanced
    8. reboot

Boots may take a little longer, it's got an auto zipalign tool included

Doing this, i've taken care of a few issues mentioned to me.

    Re: MIUI v4 ICS (6-1-2012)

my camera quit working all the sudden. It acts like its taking the pic and flashing a green outlined square but it doesn't seem to save it anywhere. when the square turns red it seems to save it just fine. The GPS icon is in the top left corner evrytime but it says searching for gps while camera is on wth? in the gps page there are 3 options and only 1 is lit up orange which is on, but the other 2 are on but grayed out for some reason. my weather apps don't work much and the Facebook app is complete garbage right now maybe has something to do with gps crap which might be affecting the camera as well maybe? idk.

    Re: MIUI v4 ICS (6-1-2012)

camera update.... I installed camera magic app last night and it works but not really like I like it. this morning i mms my wife and tried the capture picture tab and it snapped the pic and sent it to her. worked yay. The problem is with the camera on my end is that it takes the pic(goes thru the motions, focus, flash, click sounds) but it will not save it anywhere that I can find on the phone.
So I am thinking it may be the camera but what is the thingy that makes it save it, is that corrupt? anyone else having this issue?

OK edit: if i turn off external sd card in the camera options it works flawless saves it and everything. What do i do from here? everything else seems save to card and use the card so i doubt its the card right? or maybe the rom reading the card is bad or corrupt? idk
