MIUI v4 ICS (6-1-2012)

Does anyone know if the current build has hardware acceleration? If not I thought I'd share that there is now an ICS build with hardware acceleration: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1475936. Here's to hoping the drivers can be easily added MIUI.

I read that the build is little laggy and camera is causing a lot of slowness.
I saw a tweet from @leeech Once again there is mind blowing feature cooking at @miuius.

almost had a heart attack...just flashed the latest update and once the phone restarted I got a "encryption unsuccessful" message. **GASP** thought my phone was toast, saw on XDA where this means your internal SD is pretty much toast. Though, ok lets see if I just restore my backup of the previous V4 if this will go away. Luckily after a restore, phone is working as usual, no encryption unsuccesfful message. Anybody else see this on 2/17?

Im having the exact same issue. I have flashed countless ROMs and never seen this. I just flashed back to 2.10 and is ok now. Mark would you happen to know why this is happening to some of us?

Happened to me the first time. I figured it was a bad download. I restored my backup and deleted the download and then I downloaded it again and reflashed and it worked fine.

When I receive a MMS - I can not open it - the messaging app crashes.

here is the sequence:

1. I get a mms notification
2. Open Messaging, get "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped"

This happened earlier today - sms was fine until I received an MMS. So I did a complete wipe including SD, reloaded the 2-17-12, and sms started working again. Then out of no where a MMS came in, and now the Messaging app crashes.

no it does not currently have it, evervolv is the only one with true hwa for the inc, and it's still iffy. i will be implementing it into the miui builds once i feel it's stable enough.

i wish i did know, i flashed multiple "test build" all with full wipes, or cache only wipes and did not see this. until it happens to me, i can only recommend following the install procedure i use.

which build are you on? and are you able to logcat. i have received 4 mms today with no crash, only thing i've noticed about it is it doesn't open picture by default. it has a double confirmation.

Mark what do you say we should do on flash overs. I have had random reboots on the last two build with flashovers. Not sure if it is something I am doing on my end or not.

Im on the 2.2.17 r2 build....I will grab a logcat in the morning when I have a computer close by.

I just realized that these are MMS, but do not contain pics - just a message sent to my number@vzwpix.com - its a monitoring alert system at work that sends them.

For what its worth...I installed go sms pro....I use it to delete the mms and then I can open the miui messaging app again.

Otherwise its pretty sweet for me..kick ass build.

personally i backup apps with titanium and full wipe ALMOST every flash. i know not a lot of people are too into restoring their apps every week. once i have a "set boot.img" i'll update the install procedure post. if you flash over, do a /cache, /system, and /boot wipe.

with miui i've always had to do *228+ (long hold 0 to get +)

Also, since going to V4, my video play has been acting funky. When I go to play a video I've got on my phone, It plays the video in the center of the screen then on the top and bottom margins it is showing the video again (i'll try to post a screen shot as I know this doesn't make much sense). Anybody else seeing this?

Ok so after restoring my backup then reflashing, I now have a working 2.17, but I'm still seeing my video player issue. I tried to do a screen shot of it, and would you believe it, the screen shot only captures the image in the middle and not the extra two videos playing at the very top and very bottom of the screens. Please tell me i'm not going crazy...is anybody else having this issue?
