Is the issue where people aren't able to hear me when I call them fixed in this release?

Nope, it wasn't fixed I just installed it and I can't hear myself when I make a call. Good thing is the led flashlight works now when you take a picture. But it doesn't when you record, so its an up/down kind of rom.

Yeah, I just updated to 1.7.1 and the first call I made went fine, but when I made a second call, the person on the other line couldn't hear me. I would think this would be fixed rather quickly. I guess I'll just have to flash a different rom until its fixed.

how did you flash this? I recently switch to the Fascinate from the Incredible, I can't figure all the different recovery/voodo stuff out on this phone. I'm looking for some help, cuz I really miss MIUI!!

1) yes, I'm on ED04, rooted with SuperOneClick
2) none right now, i've tried a couple and none seemed to work for me. I ODIN'd back to stock and OTA upgraded to ED04
3) yes...either vol+/vol-/power method or ROM Manager or Terminal

Thank you! When I installed MIUI I was on comrom2.0 using PBJ standard voltage kernal. I believe that kernal comes with CWM 3.2.x but the recovery is yellow. After I booted into recovery I wiped data and installed zip from SD card and my phone immediately rebooted into CWM 4.x (orange). Then I simply installed the zip from SD card again. The first version of MIUI I installed was 1.6.17 you may want to flash that one first to make sure you get the correct CWM (I think I read somewhere on xda that people were having problems going straight to 1.7.1) I don't know which kernel comes with 1.7.1 but I am using The new OTB 0701 since the one packaged in the ROM was dated 06-28. I hope this helps feel free to PM me

I installed 1.7.1 yesterday and I must say it's a great rom. I also installed Softlocker so I could get my messages and boy is a battery drainer. Anyhow, last night after recharging phone it ran down to about 80% so I turned it off for the night so it wouldnt kill the battery any more. This morning when I powered up it was down to 28%.What would cause the power drain? Does something stay active even when phone is off?

Love the rom, its wicked fast but still having problems with phone calls not being heard and phantom rings. Will deal with it bc I love the rom but if it isn't fixed next week I'm going to flash something else. Thanks andmer for your great work!

The new OTB kernel from nemesis2all has fixed the deep sleep issue for me, so now the only thing that remains is the ringer/notification volume, which for some reason is really low, even when turned all the way up.
Has anyone found a workaround for this?

Just flashed 1.7.1.3 and now rom manager says incompatible kernel, any suggestions?
-
07-05-2011, 05:22 PM #17I don't know what you are trying to do with Rom Manager but definitely go flash nemesis2all's new kernel 0704 it seems to be recognized by Rom Manager and plus the new kernel fixed the deep sleep issue

Much better, in fact I'm overclocked @ 1300 and left the phone on overnight. It only lost 2% battery with OTB kernel. Can't wait until Friday!
