Flashing MIUI rom unlock the mobile carrier too?

Good morning,

I just got a mobile from a friend with two probs, the one the carrier lock and the second the phone is so slow with the HTC Sense.

I tried to unlock it paying for it but the website said Verizon is not possible to unlocked.

Then I am on the way to root it and install MIUI, this will remove the carrier lock or still I need to pay for it?

should I use the revolutionary for this purpose?

I think you need to take some help from the online provider who provides you lock code for your phone rather than install MIUI because if Verizon didn’t solve your problem then MIUI also cannot solve this.
