Does anyone know a cool lockscreen where u have to tap to unlock?

Funny story. I tried to make one once and when it didn't work, I locked myself out of my phone. Thank goodness for nandroid backups or I would have been screwed. In the end I made the lockscreen where the slider distance was like one pixel (can't really remember because I made it awhile ago). It wasn't really a tap unlock, but it was close enough to work like a tap unlock.

For future reference, if you can't unlock your phone due to lockscreen malfunction, there's a button combination to unlock the phone - volume up plus the back button. You can also use that if the lockscreen works.
You could use the non-functioning lockscreen you made and use that button combination every time - just as good as a pattern lock at keeping most people out of your phone.

Try widget locker. Can set tap to unlock.

Yup. I found one in the online section of themes. You wake the screen and then tap on the shortcut you want. i.e. browser, gmail, SMS, calendar, camera from the lockscreen. I'll see if I can somehow post the text of the theme as it is in Chinese. If that doesn't work, I'll provide a download link.

Is that kosher btw, since it is someone else's work?

You will have to do it on mobile, but just copy the chinese text and paste it in the search window in the themes app.

Shortcuts include: browser, calendar, calculator, gallery (I think), Gmail, clock, camera, MIUI music app, SMS, dialer, contacts, file explorer, and unlock.

Also if you like, search for a lockscreen called silince ... its in xda, just a minimal tap to unlock
