"Media Server" draining battery
Over the past 2 hours, my battery has gone from 73% to 7%. The culprit seems to be "Media Server", which is using 80% of my battery.
Rebooting had no effect, the Media Server started right back up again. Any idea what this could be, and how I stop it?
Edit: seems to be a fairly common issue with no sure solution: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=6765Last edited by kpo; 01-16-2012 at 03:03 PM.

See this thread:

The fix is in there. You have to edit the build.prop file.
Edit: Here's the specific post:

It seems my problem was a corrupt MP3 file. Deleting the file fixed the issue.
