MIUI misidentiied Thunderbolt as a Mecha
Since installing MIUI (which is working fine), my phone misidentifies itself as an HTC Mecha, when it is actually a Thunderbolt. Has anyone else experienced this problem? How do I get it to recognize the phone correctly? This hasn't been a problem until recently when I've run into a couple of apps that are not compatible with Mecha.

Mecha is the project name for the Thunderbolt. Your recovery images are probably labeled like that, you RUU's and OTA's as well, most everything was labeled Mecha when I had a Thunderbolt. I have an HTC EVO 3D, project name is Shooter, the HTC Sensation is Pyramid. I don't know what you mean by apps that aren't compatible with Mecha, do they not list it as supported, or are they not running?

I assume you're referencing the Android Market place and it is reporting to you that the apps are not compatible. I have expended this before when I ran MIUI on my Thunderbolt. I would take a guess that comparing the build.prop to a Sense or AOSP rom like CM7 might provide some information.
