    Seeking help with bricked Nook Color

    Hello,

    Any insight to a problem I have is greatly appreciated. Here's my scenario;

    1. I have been running Cyanogenmod on my Nook Color for a few months and wanted to try Miui.
    2. I booted into the recovery mode from Rom Manager under Cyanogenmod. I formatted the data area and system area of the device, and then loaded Miui from the latest zip file for Nook Color.
    3. Rebooted and everything ran great. Miui was excellent. Was able to look at the included apps, set up email, etc. I purchased one small battery management utility from the marketplace and installed it. Looked at more include apps for about 30 minutes. Everything was great.
    4. I then went back to the marketplace and when I selected an app that I wanted to review/purchase, I got a message that process com android.vending had stopped working. I closed it and selected a different app from the marketplace to see if I could access it. Same error message.
    5. I then rebooted the device, and now I get a screen that says Cyanogenmod is loading, but it never goes past that.
    6. I tried holding down the power button and home button while powering up to make Cyanogenmod boot into recovery mode, but it never goes past that either.

    So, I can power on the Nook and either get a screen that says Cyanogenmod is loading or booting into recovery, but can never get past either of those screens.

    Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

    Have you tried booting from an uSDcard (and reflashing from it)? This thing is almost impossible to brick -- I've always been able to use a bootable card (with whatever ROM I want to flash) and get the NC running again.

    The market issue is a known issue -- no fix yet (other than uninstalling the latest market update over & over & over). Until MIUI for NC gets some attention (or people "in the know" pass along some guidance for how to tweak the MIUI rom to make it NC-friendly -- I've asked, but gotten no responses), we are stuck with this issue.

    MIUI is awesome, but appears to be stuck in the mud as far as NC is concerned (so I've had to move to CM7 MiRaGe rom for now).

    Good luck...
