MMS / text message force close

I noticed yesterday that the text messaging application force closes each time I try to open it up with the latest version 1.12.30 . I managed to fix it by replacing the MMS file with the MMS file from last weeks release and reinstall.
Hope it's useful for someone else!

I tried to re-install the 1.12.23 MMS.apk on 1.12.30 but the installer would say "The application was not installed." Did you replace the apk in the 1.12.30 package and re-install the entire package rather than just the MMS.apk itself?

I found dis fix on xda... i hope it works... i HAVE NOT used it personally...but a frnd has used it...sms works fine for him though...
its just an apk..i guess mms apk... will work..!! tk a backup n flash..!
i could not upload d zip here so did d same on 4shared
try to wipe dalvik and flash this fix.

Yes I took the old APK (from 1.12.23) and replaced the MMS in 1.12.30 with it, and finally reinstalled 1.12.30 after doing so. I only did this because I did not have access to the mobile storage at the time - I can't seem to find how to access it!

On another note, I'm not sure if it's due to my carrier or the ROM but I stired to send an MMS yesterday but it is unable to send. My guess is it's a problem with my carrier. Anyone else tried?

I have the same problem. So i rolled 1.12.30 back to 1.12.23

The issue should be fixed in the newest version, if not a fix was posted on the thread
