New market version fc'ing
Anyone else having this problem? Every time I try to click on an app to view it, the market fc. I can uninstall updates and use for a little while, but then it installs the new version again.

Try to log out, reboot and login again with your gmail account.

What do you mean by log out?
Log out of the market? I went into my market app and it will only allow me the choice of picking another account (I have only one). However I am somewhat new to Android so I googled logging out and found nothing on it. I also tried to log out of the entire OS Google via Accounts & Sync Settings; I was able to remove my account and then reboot the phone. I started up market, logged back in and still fc.
I have two nook colors and was trying MIUI on one and CM7 on the other and this crashing market is the only thing stopping me from going with MIUI on both.

I have been uninstalling the market update and then the market allows me to install apps, but after a while the market will automatically update itself again. If there were even a way to keep the market from automatically updating this would be a work around.

Same problem here...the failure happens with both Google Android Market once it upgrades from 3.1.3 to 3.4.4 and once it happens, both it and the Amazon App Store start to fail also (Amazon fails with a different error). The problem seems to be Market 3.4.4 not working successfully with MIUI on the Nook Color.

Get an app called Market Fix from the android market. It's free and it fixed mine.

I tried installing Market Fix but it did not help. I have tried to freeze the marketupdater.apk using Titanium Backup but it does not help either. It continues to update from 3.1.3 to 3.4.4. Once it updates I can no longer download any app. I removed MIUI and put CM7 on there to see if it had any problems and it did not. It worked with no problems after the market upgraded to 3.4.4. I would really like to continue to use MIUI but do not want to have to uninstall the new market every time I need an app. Does anyone else have any ideas on how to fix the problem? Is anybody's market working that has the new 3.4.4? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Try this. Reinstall your rom without wiping. From what I've heard it's a location issue. Go to language and pick a different language, then change back right away. This didn't work for me but does with some people. Reintalling without wiping works though.

The only Market Fix app I was able to find was called Eris Market Fix and said it was primarily for Eris ROMs but may work on others. I ran it once with a reboot and then ran it again with a cache flush (as it recommended); however I still have a busted market.
Any other ideas? Thanks.

Still broke, tried above solutions, but to no avail. Might have to wait for an MIUI update. Very sad, I am loving MIUI on my Nook.

I don't know if you have tried this yet but go into recovery and wipe cache partition and dalvik.

Mine just started working on it's on after I played around with all the suggestions I posted. One more thing to try is go to downloads app and turn ON download over wifi then turn it OFF. It will come up and warn you that you are going to use your data connection. Sometimes that works.

Still not working. Tried everything. I have even started over with factory wipe. I have 3 of these, and I have the same issue with all of them. As soon as it gets the updated 4.3.3 market it will start to force close. Any other suggestions?

I'll keep trying. If one of you figure it out make sure you post your steps in case it happens again. Sorry nothing has worked so far.

It's not an elegant fix by any means, but if all you want is to be able to download apps browse to https://market.android.com and use the web interface until there is a app based solution.
