I'm Very Sadden to say I have to go back to Stock Rom, sniff,
While MIUI is neat with themes and some functions, It's not playing nice with my OG Droid, no Hotspot, No Bluetooth phone Audio, Flash runs like poop, Google Maps runs like poop and reboots my phone, when I need it MOST, Camera Locks on zoom sometimes, Torch Light sometime gets Stuck on,when turned on and will not go off (when doing the lock screen home button trick), sometimes it reboot for the heck of it, and I spent a Stupid amount of hours/days setting the phone up to my liking, all to poof it away and start over Stock.
That Nexus is look better each day, iama check what I can get to a trade up.

Have you tried sbfing to stock 2.1, allowing an ota update, rerooting then running miui? For some reason this really helps (I think the normal recoveries don't fully wipe everything but an sbf will) you don't have to repeat this all the time, just every couple months or so

The reason I haven't released any new builds since the 1.12.30 build, is because China has changed the cdma code. I am told that cdma in China is slightly different from the states. I am not sure why they are making all the changes because all of their current devices are gsm. But anyway, the changes have messed up ports that use cdma. The builds work fine, cell service and data work, but the signal bars in the top notification bar do not show up correctly. Instead of 1 signal bar that shows 3g, there are 2, one labeled 1x and another labeled E. Because of that, I haven't released any builds since 1.12.30 even though I have them. The gurus at miui.us who normally hunt around and solve those types of issues have been busy w/ life and work since the holidays and haven't really had a chance to do that. Most of their time has been invested in redoing the website, which is going to look really good btw, and transitioning builds to v4 of miui. As far as GB builds, if you look at the change log, you will notice that China hasn't been doing much to those builds either since that last build for the D1. There have been a few minor bug fixes in a few devices, nothing specific to the Milestone / D1, but maybe 1 or 2 software glitches. I think the GB builds of MIUI are about to stop development or at least only receive minor bug fixes as the devs move on to working with ICS. Obviously the D1 will probably not be making that transition. I am looking at the latest stable version for the milestone (2.3.7c) to see if I can get another build for the D1 out that doesn't have the signal bar issue. It will probably be the last release, but definitely not positive on that. As far as work for me, porting to the D1 is almost 100% automated at this point, but MIUI China has thrown a wrench into things at same time as they are moving on, and probably leaving the Milestone (and thereby the D1) behind.
BTW, if you guys would like the latest development builds, I can release them easily, just be aware of the notification signal bar icons will not show up correctly. I had some testing done to them and cell and data reception worked fine, so they are fully functional.People say that if you play Microsoft CD's backwards, you hear satanic things, but that's nothing, because if you play them forwards, they install Windows.
If at first you don't succeed, paint it shiny white and put an Apple logo on it. You can make a fortune on upgrades.

I've downloaded the "MIUI.us_sholes_2.1.13_Eng_Deo_ZipA_Signed_magiman 7.zip" from a mirror that I got passed by markhoj in live chat... from what you mentioned about the notification bar signal not showing correctly, will that rom version work fine on D1 Sholes or will it have issues? Thanks!

For those of you that want to try out a new build, here is 2.2.3. The signal bars are still messed up. I checked the stable version and it has the same issue. Everything should work, just signal bar icons aren't correct.

Excellent build (2.2.3)! I honestly don't use the radio since my phone is only being used for MM purposes. If at all possible could you please just keep updating as you get the chance Magiman7? Thank you so much for the time you give to each of us and the fact that you allow the "old" OGD to still be alive and kicking with these ROMs!
Peace, and all that good stuff.

I have made builds for the latest version 2.2.10 available, but the signal bar issue is still there. Everything seems to work properly, but the cell signal bars in the notification bar show up as 1x and E and 3g. This is due to the way cdma is implemented in China. There is no fix available at the moment.
There is an issue with the signal bars in the notification bar and there is no known fix.
If you want this build, and don't mind extra signal bars in the notification bar, you can download below.
In case you haven't read, there is an issue with the cell signal bars.
2.2.10 Build (Yes, I know there is an issue with the cell signal bars)Last edited by magiman7; 02-11-2012 at 05:34 PM.

removing/hiding the status bar mod
Could someone point me in the right direction? I'm looking for the mod or apk that lets you customize or hide the status bar. Treymotes had an apk in his last build in August that allowed this, but the link is dead to strip it from that rom.

juniorjwh, that mod was called Extended Settings. I see it was just updated for 2.2.10, you can get it at http://android.gcfam.net/devs/andy/E...ttings/2.2.10/

Magiman the link for the 2.2.17 isn't correctly set, I had to manually change the link to be able to download, but after installing I wasn't able to connect to any wireless connection, no radio for me as I changed countries recently
. By the way, again thank you for the continued support!
