**** NOTES, PLEASE READ THIS ****
The installation process is basically the same as before, but now we have Aroma. Aroma was written by amarullz and can be found here - [MOD][2.56] AROMA Installer :: 121004-031 :: Open Source - xda-developers
Aroma is essentially a graphical installer (yes, it's touch enabled). You flash the zip just like normal, but now you can select some options of what to or not to install. One of the major pieces that came together with this is the ability to install individual governors for bootmenu and not the entire package. This helps to save space in the /system partition (any of you that have worked with the ICS roms probably know what I'm referring to).
The one other thing you don't have to worry about is all the wiping before you flash the rom. You can choose which wiping method you want to use during the installation as well.
If you find that you're part way through the installer and want to quit before you actually start it, press Menu & Vol-. This will open a menu at the bottom of the screen and you can select to exit the installer (thanks CnB for pointing this out to me!).
I want to give huge props to milski65 for helping with this release. Milski donated his DX to the cause and saved me a ton of time. Because of him, this release is today and not another month from now. THANK YOU MILSKI!!!!

1) Backup using the settings below.
2) Reboot to CWR using cat.gif and then the Power->Reboot menu (or SBF and skip to #5).
3) Continue with General Installation Instructions
*************************************************
*************************************************
General Installation
(All other Roms)
*************************************************
*************************************************
1) Reboot into CWR
2) Go to "Mounts and Storage" and format /system, /data, and /cache.
3) Go to "Advanced" and wipe dalvik-cache.
4) Flash the zip.
5) Reboot
6) Toggle Superuser to allow Root Access.
7) Restore your previous backup.
8) Setup any widgets you want.
9) Enjoy!
*************************************************
*************************************************
MIUI Backup Instructions:
*************************************************
*************************************************
1) Open the MIUI Backup App (usually found in the Tools folder by default)
2) Select all Applications (you can use another backup app like TiBu for the apps)
3) Unselect System and expand it.
4) Select the options you desire, however, do not select Contacts, Wifi Settings, or Superuser.
For example, I select:
* Browser
* Call Logs
* Messages
* Multimedia Messages
* System Settings
* Homescreen Layout
* Notes
* Current Theme
5) When you restore the backup, simply check all applications and system settings. Only those that you backed up will be restored.
6) After the restore, you will get prompted to re-enter your Google account. Cancel out of this and go to Accounts and Sync and add the account there (you will get a FC and it won't work on the initial prompt, so don't waste your time).

Change Log

*************************************************
2012.5.12 Change Log
Blur->Miui Merge
- Merged the Blur Power Manager Service into Miui. This gives our phones access to the deepSleep() native functionality.
HijackedBootmenu Fixes and Additions
- Removed the specific governor settings from the CPU Settings menu. Governor selection remains, but the menu choices are cleaned up.
- Changed the Multitouch options in the Fixes menu to a single toggle.
- Added a toggle to the Fixes menu for the Power Wake Only mod.
- Added a toggle to the Fixes menu for the Key Lights On/Off mod.
Default Boot Animation provided by fezrock
Boot Logo added in just for fun
- If anybody wants to change it to something else, I recommend JRummy’s Boot Logo Changer – http://goo.gl/JGQJI (link goes to the Play Store) or use Rom Toolbox. An SBF will also change it back to stock.
- If you are really adventurous, you can make your own flash to do the same thing. Check out this site – Easily Change the Motorola Boot Logo on Your DROID X/2 | LimitlessDroid.comLast edited by wizard0f0s; 11-12-2012 at 02:03 AM.

Wizard, big thanks to all your work and the bug fixes. Just installed the dual radio fix which worked beautifully. The only thing that I have noticed so far that is a bit of an annoyance is any time I connect to a bluetooth device, it doesn't seem to want to disconnect from it. This has been proven on multiple occasions with multiple bluetooth devices. If you need more info just let me know. Thanks!!!

Camera!?
Anyone know if the camera takes high res full screen shots yet and 720p video recording? I jumped off of MIUI a month or so ago because of no updates and poor quality camera. I like the ROM itself and the customization ability of it, just would like to have all of the features I use fully functioning before I jump back. I am not being a dick about it, I appreciate all who puts their hard work into keeping the Droid X alive!

The first 2 major fixes I'm planning to work on are 720p and infrastructure wifi tethering. No ETAs, etc, because I'm still learning all this as well. This is actually my first ever release. DXC is helping though and that is making a huge difference.
Absolutely no offense taken. Everybody uses their phones for different things and have different priorities. I'm planning on being here for a while and hope to get through everyone's priorities.The fastest way to learn is by breaking it. The learning comes when you fix it again.

Simply excellent ROM
Wizard0f0s, I have to commend you for a truly remarkable ROM. My 2 boys run this ROM, and it offers good stability and excellent access controls, so I know they're not getting into things they shouldn't. They started with your May version for months, then we updated to your November release, and continue to have great success with all they do.
My wife ran CM7 on her Droid X, and it did quite well - except the camera which sometimes couldn't write to the SD card. So when I wiped hers, I went on a study to see how other ROMs performed. Here's what I found, primarily focusing on basic WiFi connectivity, because that became the fundamental deciding point where so many ROMs failed:
- OpenAndroid [Vortex/Liberty Reloaded] (OA-VXLR_2.2.0_Installer_Spz0.zip ) - WiFi problems - continuous restarts on WPA2 access points, refuses to connect to WEP sites (won't accept ASCII code of 5 chars, nor the hex equivalent). Unfortunately, this ROM is still using the 605 kernel (like most below), even though it is in recent development.
- Almost-stock 621 (621_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed_kY-Signed.zip) - WiFi problems - continuous restarts on WPA2 access points, refuses to connect to WEP sites (won't accept ASCII code of 5 chars, nor the hex equivalent)
- Liberty 3 2.0 (Liberty3X-2.0Gold-signed-621v.zip) - WiFi problems - continuous restarts on WPA2 access points, refuses to connect to WEP sites (won't accept ASCII code of 5 chars, nor the hex equivalent)
- Vortex (VorteX_GB-RC1-signed-621v.zip) - WiFi problems - continuous restarts on WPA2 access points, refuses to connect to WEP sites (won't accept ASCII code of 5 chars, nor the hex equivalent)
- Shuji 2.5 (Shuji-2.5-signed-621v.zip) - WiFi problems - would not connect at all to WPA2 access points, refuses to connect to WEP sites (won't accept ASCII code of 5 chars, nor the hex equivalent)
- MIUI DefX 2012.11.11 (MIUI.us_Shadow_2012.11.11-Aroma-Wizard0f0s-signed.zip) - no significant wifi issues
The only flaw that nags me on this MiUI release is that (on my boys Droid X's) Google Play store hangs on every new connect, until I adjust the content filtering setting in any way - then it immediately works. I have password access set for this app.
Again, thanks for your wonderful gift to the Droid X community!

Ok, the fix for the browsers (and the build.prop showing the wrong Android version) is now available here - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32763084/Miu...d.prop-fix.zip
If you have downloaded the ZipB version of 1.12.9 (file name is "MIUI.us_Shadow_1.12.9_Eng_Deo_ZipB_Signed_Wizard0 f0s.zip"), this is already included and you don't need it. As I am writing this, that file isn't uploaded yet though.The fastest way to learn is by breaking it. The learning comes when you fix it again.

wait to someone to test this rom! What I care is the battery life. In my test, ace's 11.9's battery life is a little more better than dxc's 10.21

1.11.9 to 1.12.9
I'm on the 620 GB kernel. I flashed and wiped cache, phone booted to lock-screen. (Joy!)
After a minute or so, the boot animation appears (no Motorola logo) and loops. Looks like a boot-loop: but it isn't.
Pulled the battery and booted. Same thing.
Wiped data. Fixed.
Hopefully this helps someone.
