Installation Instructions:

Pre-Work:

Before powering off the phone download the MIUI package and copy to internal SD Card

Flashing Recovery:

1. Download recovery from ROM Manager (Found in Market)
2. Flash Clockwork Recovery
3. Done

Personal Data Backup:

1. Make sure device is rooted
2. Download “Titanium Backup” from the Android Market (Consider purchasing Pro version for more automated options)
3. Open Titanium Backup, press menu key and go to “Batch”
4. Go to Backup section and select “Backup all user apps”
5. Allow process to finish

Current ROM Backup:

1. Reboot phone into CWM recovery (Power Button + Vol Down), press Vol Down until you see "Android Recovery" then press Vol Up to enter.
2. Go to Backup & Restore and create a backup (this may take some time)

Install MIUI:

1. Select Data Wipe/Factory Reset (will wipe all data)
2. Then Wipe Cache Partition
3. Install MIUI from internal or external SD storage
4. Reboot system now

Going Back To Your Old ROM From MIUI:

1. Reboot phone into recovery (Power + Vol Up button)
2. Once in recovery go to Backup & Restore
3. Select Restore, then select the restore that is dated before you moved to CM7
4. Allow time for restore, once complete reboot phone.

Yeah link is fine. Working great so far, I'm almost giddy with excitement about this. May be able to use it as my daily now with the browser working properly and the camera and tethering.

Fyi camcorder force closes after trying to record video after about 5 seconds.

About Sound and Volume feature, I try using some mp3 file from ext sdcard for Ringtone or Notification but I can't, have to copy to system/media/ringtone and set permit rw-r--r--. Some ringtone not working... Volume of ringtone, notification, arlam.... sound force closes when I try... Just few bug I was test.

Sr cause my English not good ) I come from Vietnam.

We can update to the latest version of MIUI each week, that is easy at this point. However, we still have the audio issue we are trying to sort out. So instead of spending time each week releasing a new build with the same bugs, we have focused our time trying to fix the audio on the build we have. Once we have the audio fixed, we will release the latest version available at that time and should be able to have regular releases each week.

Yeah, the audio issue with games is still there. What ringtones don't work? I thought that was fixed, will look into it. We are running out of things to try to fix the audio w/ games. The photon is having the same issue because of the combination of moto + tegra2. We haven't given up trying to fix it, but it doesn't look like it will be fixed soon. Maybe with the move to ics / v4 of MIUI the issue can be fixed.

im very happy for development in atrix miui..i already tested all of this rom from alpha 1 to4 and really like it!!,and now alpha 5..already tested the alpha 5..there is a status bar problem...the status bar cannot load...

Yes, there seems to have been a mixup on the build I uploaded. I am going back to redo the build. Somewhere I have lost the version I had flashed and was tweaking. I will get a fixed build up as soon as I can.
