[ROM][Kang] MIUI 12.9 Crespo4G
Here is a little something for the crack-flashers: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/53055261/MIU...g_12.13_v3.zip
This is a port/kang of MIUI 12.9 for the NS4G. Working GPS and Wallet. Enjoy.
This is not my work; credit goes to Warttack and StiffSpliff/Naerok.
EDIT: If you flash this, you will need to flash a third-party kernel (Franco's, Matrix, Trinity, etc.). Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience with this noob; I'm still learning.

Glad it's working for you. Let me know if you run across any issues (that aren't inherent to MIUI, anyway); I'll try to get them fixed. I haven't run across any yet, but that's just my usage.

Weird. I'm checking into it. It might have been a bad upload to Dropbox.
Just a random thought; are you folks with WiFi errors using the stock kernel?
Random thought #2: are you running Fix Permission on reboot?Last edited by itlnstln; 12-15-2011 at 09:46 AM.

OK, I just re-flashed and I'm not getting an error, so I'm thinking it's just a bad upload to Dropbox and I'm re-uploading now. Steps to install (not like you don't know, but just for reference):
-Wipe all
-Flash MIUI
-Flash kernel (optional, but I have tried Trinity and Francos with good success)
-Reboot
-Restore Backup
-Reboot to Recovery and Fix Permissions
-Reboot to MIUI and enjoy
I'll post when the upload completes. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thanks for all your patience.

OK, I think I figured it out. I'm re-uploading a fixed version now. I think I forgot to kang a folder. Everything would work if you flashed another kernel that contains this folder (/system/modules), but it would break if you used the stock kernel. Sorry about that, guys.
EDIT: In fact, that would be it. The file /system/modules/bcm4329.ko is part of the WiFi system. While you're waiting for the fixed upload, you can flash a third-party kernel, and you'll be fine.Last edited by itlnstln; 12-15-2011 at 10:09 AM.

Thanks for your work, I tried the both links and wifi doesn't work with either of them when using the stock kernel. I wasn't successful with the gps either
. I'll try the old method of booting to a stock rooted rom and then flashing to this and will report back.

It sounds like a wipe issue or a bad download. I just used both on the stock kernel fine. I would try re-downloading before you re-flash.

gps fixed eventually, it's been so long
. It took over 3 minutes to fix the first time but I seem to be up and running pretty good now. Still having wifi issues but I can keep working w/that.

Try flashing a different kernel. I am now using franco's and it works fine. Glad you got GPS working. I'm going to try to have a 12.16 kang out today, but I'm holding out for the ICS beta.

OK, thanks for flashing the kernel, that helps me a lot. I appreciate the feedback, I'm glad the ROM is working for you. I just need to figure out how to incorporate a kernel into a ROM. I'll make a note in the OP.

So idk if it's just my device but I've been having some issue with making calls. If I call out, the other person cannot hear me. However if they call me I can hear them just fine.
I flashed back to 1.12.2 and the problem stopped, the other party was able to hear. Any thoughts? Really not too sure on what would cause that
