Who else can't get their 32gb class 4 Sandisk microSD card to be detected

by MIUI 1.12.2? It's just not working for me....Asomeone said I might want to partition it to ext3. I'm not sure if that's a good idea though.

I also posted an answer in another one of your threads but missed the class 4 part.

You will not have good luck with any card that is class 4, and I know there is a lot of debate about the issue but from personal experiance I would not advise using class 4. Get a good class 10 16Gb card and call it good is my advise to you.

I fought with damaged or corrupted card errors for months with three different cards. All were known good cards, 2 were class 4 and one was class 6. Since switching to a class 10 I have not had a single problem for about 2 months now and any apps stored to SD or reading cache from SD will do so infinately faster than a class 4.

And Hesh, while I do agree with you why is this the case for only Galaxy S phones? I have read that class 2/class 4 on other phones is more than enough, why do Galaxy S phones need class 10? Also what is your take on a 32gb class 10 microSD card? It just makes me want to find someone with a Droid X and trade him my Fascinate (even though Galaxy S Fascinate is a better phone).

Sorry, I wasn't intending to say that this appies ONLY to Galaxy S devices, only that I know it is common with all of them. As it is I only own a Fascinate (and my wifes Charge).

As far as 32Gb cards go, I know from lurking around Xda and RootzWiki forums that there are many devices that have issues with them, stock or otherwise. However, it would take someone far more knowledgeable than I to explain why. For many I don't think there is a good explinaton. Just as a friendly heads up, I would not waste the time or money on a 32Gb card for this phone.

(Also, in my personal opinion, you would not be happy with a DroidX coming from the Fascinate. The screen is terrible and the graphics accelleration is lacking horribly compared to the Fascinate.)
