It's been over a month since the FC regression was documented...
How can we get these key NFC dependencies included in the build, and fast tracked for next release?

Mark Hoj kindly offered to lead this... is he blocked on any issues we can help him with?
There are technical people on this forum, self included, who have offered to help.

    Warm regards,
    Marc J.

I have also reached out to Andmer for some guidance, and he has kindly given me the basic steps for creating the NC rom. However, I have a couple of follow-up questions that I have asked (andmer) -- hopefully once I get those answered I can actually take a stab at trying to create a somewhat current rom.

No promises or dates, but just want you to know that you're not alone (and there are other people trying to make some progress).

    Regards,
    Kevin T.

I have attempted to contact andmer too. I have also been in touch with Mark Hoj in #miui-us on IRC. I have GB version 2.1.20 booting on my NC, but have still not been able to chase down the market dependency problem. I'm using the most current up to date CM7.2 base (which should hopefully fix the touchscreen issues for "new Nook Color" users. I am no developer, a hack at best, so if anyone else would like to collaberate and share in the effort....I'm hockeyfamily737 everywhere (here, xda, IRC, & Gtalk)

Well, that's not good news (the remaining issue of the market dependency) -- I was really hoping that using a later "base" would take care of this. Let me ask a "doofus" question -- what is "GB" (i.e. GB version 2.1.20)?

    Thanks...

I believe GB = GingerBread, which is CM7, as opposed to ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is CM9.

LOL....You're a glass half empty kind of guy aren't you. It's being worked on at least. I'm making progress and getting some great help from Miui.us founders.

Oh, no -- I'm definitely a glass half FULL guy!! Sorry if I came across a bit negative there. I appreciate ANY work being done to further this effort!

I tried the new version and there is a problem when running NenaMark. It shows "failed to initialize OpenGL ES 2.0" and I didn't have this problem when running 1.11.4. The 3D performance is also slower in the new version. Any idea?

Hey guy's, GB version 2.2.3 is now available here: http://db.tt/Zg2hP2HI. Credits to 0xD34D for the launcher mod, and to Mark Hoj, Scott951, and 0xD34D for helping out whenever I get stumped. Market fix would not have been possible without those guys. Enjoy.
