Idk if this has been brought up by someone somewhere else, but I have a fairly major bug with getting any part of a theme to stick...like, at all! I just flashed 2.9.7 in the same way I've always flashed, n I'm wondering if for some reason I missed needing to flash some sort of mod or something ...Idk. if anyone has a solution, or at least an idea, please, lemme know...hopefully this isn't the first/only case of this issue lol

Same problem with themes not applying plus phone won't ring or alert, and rotation doesn't work (most annoying while viewing photos). Just happy there was an update tho. Any chance anyone has leech's twitter name, is it just twitter.com/leech?

Here is the fix for themes posted by leech on twitter.

Use your favorite root file manager (ie. Root explorer, root browser lite =free) open /data/system then
Create a folder called " theme ". Then set permissions on the folder to read , write, excute for the whole folder

Only thing I can't get to work is changing ringer.

Anyone that has downloaded the most recent miui for inc (2.11.9) have any trouble trying to install it?

I'm getting the same install error as yoyo58. I'm not sure why there is nowhere to obtain older MIUI builds online. Everytime it's updated the older one is just replaced and not archived. I know it's my job when modding to save save save every file but you can't keep the older version online for a short while? Just for occasions like this where 2.11.9 has an install error and I'll be w/o a phone until it gets resolved becasue the files were accidentaly deleted from my computer.

So if anhyone has the previous build of MIUI.. 2.10 or can help with the status 7/symlinks creation error.. that would be awesome. Other than that, I really like MIUI.

I understand the feeling...however this is obviously a bad build or the source/download version has some errors from.."who knows", Too many of us with the same issue. Oddly though, no word from the development team that did the build. I haven't received a response from a couple messages... Hey, still happy with the original 2.3 build from February.
