    Any OG Droid Love?!

So I've been searching relentlessly for a kernel for the Droid 1 with no success. I've been on the IRC channel and some have given suggestions, but still nothing. I've tried loading previous kernels I've had from CM7, and my phone freezes up......(sad face).

Anyone out there no of a solid kernel with 1.1 Ghz low voltage that wont crush my buddy Droid? I love MIUI but its honestly running a little slow sometimes and it makes me (sad face). I want a Speedy Gonzalez MIUI based phone!

I'm with you on this one. I want to find a kernal to enhance response times and performance. I loooooove MIUI and the ability to customize everything but like you said, it runs a little slow--only sometimes though!

I use chevyno1 kernel with miui on my og droid. I use 1100 medium none of the low or ultra low voltages work on my particular phone. Just make a backup before you load it!

I replaced chevy's no1 ulowV 1.25 with ulowV 1.1 which has OC flexibility better suited for the droid.

Download it using kernel manager lite and use ROM manager or CWR to browse to and flash the zip. Flashing with kernal manager didn't work for me, it just hung.

Yeah I went from the 1.25 down to the 1.1. Still crushing my battery. But performance is nice. I think it's unfortunately time to retire good ol Droid and move on to newer things.I just wish theyd make a new Verizon phone with a slide out qwerty!

OK I'm with you in this one the best performance / battery combo I've had is to have your governor set to ondemand .....an either use Chevy medV 1100 or Rz S1100 both work great min250 and max1100. I've got great battery life out if both! BUT if you are on your phone all day setting your MAX level lower might help....oh an BTW Rz is raid zeros kernels

A boot loop will usually occur, from what I'm told, because the kernel image isn't sufficiently flashed to the device. Prime once told me that. It won't get completely flashed because the system file is too full to take it all. When you get boot loops what did you do just prior? Is it when you are loading up a new rom and kernel combo? are you flashing a new kernel over the top of an existing one?

Where, if any, are the governor settings in this ROM?

It turned out to be bad downloads. All went well after getting a clean download.

    Kernel

I have been very happy with CorCor and peteralfonso.com's kernels. Stable and fast.

I would like to know if/where the governor settings are on this ROM. I tried using QuickClock advanced but it never works, the calibration phase goes into negative vsel. Also where can I find the RZR kernels?

Just switched from cm7 and never was too fond of any of the kernels plus it being a bit of a hassle especially being a nightly user. So i used milestone overclock optimized for cm7. Anyone know of a version of the application for MIUI?

You can get the rzr kernels from his ftp. rzdroid.com. Click on ftp link and then on kernels. You'll find the kernels, roms, and recoveries there.

I'm currently using Deprimed since it allows a wide range of VSEL/Speeds customization.

I can basically tune my droid to run on the absolute lowest voltage #'s possible (while stable). I go through great lengths to ensure my phones stability, each time i make a change i leave a burn test (stability test) going for hours to make sure it doesnt crash on me.

So far my 250mhz is running @23vsel (default with deprimed was like 27, chevy's LowV is 28 iirc)
Max I have set at 1100@70vsel. I can't get this any lower or it crashes....
