I tried installing the Gmail widget bandit keeps coming up application not installed. I am using an Evo. The other apps seem to be installing just fine but this one will not.

You need to move it to the system\app folder and change permissions to rw-r-r you may need to delete or rename the old gmail apk to gmail.apk.bak before moving the themed one to system\app folder.
Adding a ''.bak'' extention hides the app from the system and allows you to revert by deleating the ''.bak'' extention.

every time i try to change the permissions through file explorer. it tells me i can't because its in the sd/ section or if i try and move and paste it, it tells me that i cant because im set to read only permissions.

You have to mount as rw to be allowed to change things in there. There should be an option to mount as rw. You are currently mounted as ro. If you can't figure it out email me and ill send you root explorer. Nickmcminn60@gmail.com to change how your mounted in root explorer....there is a button at the top.

Hey bro I appreciate the effort u put into all these themes u put 2gethr. Is there any cool lockscreen Widgets? I tried the one on the main rom n it didn't work. Made my screen black n no affect!? Wtf?

OP- Wow... thanks for getting all this together. You have some really cool stuff here. Just a quick question, unless otherwise stated, will all of these apk's work on ANY phone running GB MIUI?? Also, do you have to have the amazon app store installed in order to run one of the promo apk's? I've heard that you can't install amazon, get a free app, and then delete amazon while keeping the app. Just curious...

I'm having this same issue with the Blue Pandora app. I even tried to push though terminal emulator but got the same message about it being read only. I'm using es File Explorer and have it mounted as rw.

** Edit - Uninstalled and reinstalled ES File Explorer and was able to move the app.

quick answer to that is yes. the app is verified by the amazon store so every time you open in it it checks its licence with the amazon appstore

Question regarding the Set CPU app. When I click on the link it brings up a file called SecretWallpaper2. Is this correct? I went ahead and downloaded it thinking it might be a "code name" since it's a paid app. I installed it but it doesn't show up in my launcher.

Am I missing something?

Im not sure but yes these WILL work for any phone on miui. Root explorer is how i change permissions....if it wont let you change them or even paste you will have to mount as rw not ro.....in root explorer that option is at the top. Root Explorer cant be posted here.................you may try to set permissions in clockwork......HTC I think has to be NAND unlocked to write to the system while its running.....so if your on htc and maybe others that are NAND locked this cannot be done untill it is unlocked....my girl has the mytouch 3g slide and i rooted it and put cm7 on it but didnt nand unlock it and i cant paste in system while its running. nickmcminn60@gmail.com ive got a file app if you have to have it...dont take advantage!
