    [KERNEL] [SENSE & AOSP] 11-08-2011 - AnthraX series of kernels - RC2.1

    HTC EVO 3D CDMA/SPRINT Kernel
    (Sense 3.0, Sense 3.5 AND AOSP/CM7/MIUI)

UPDATE: FLASHING stockANTHRAX ON A ROM THAT HAS ANY CIQ LEFT IN IT CAN CAUSE REBOOTS, LOCKUPS, OR OTHER RANDOM WEIRDNESS. SEE POST 4 AS TO WHY.
Developers: the 100% removal of CIQ (files, and SMALI edits) is required for this kernel to be stable with your rom.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO HELP COVER THE COST OF MY CATS ER VISIT

NOW ON TEAMWIN'S KERNEL MANAGER APPLICATION

    HBOOT 1.50 USERS
If you have hboot 1.50, you might want to read joeykrims's thread before flashing
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...6#post16129916

NIGHTLY BUILDS (100% AUTOMATED FROM MY INTERNAL GIT)

    SENSE only (for now) http://www.androidfilehost.com/main/.../Public_Tests/

kernels in this directory are nightly builds - they may or may not work
if people complain they do not work - i will stop posting nightly

it is a nightly because im still activily working on it, and it is not what i personally consider 'release ready'
(as a beta, alpha, rc, or release)

if people complain about lock ups, reboots, freezes, bricks, etc...
i will limit releases like this only to my testers.
-a script pulls my source from my private/local GIT server, compiles it as is and uploads it. if there is no nightly for a specific day, that means the compile failed for some reason.
If there are no commits between uploads, there will be no upload as well.

If you post an issue on XDA, and i dont address it, it is because I did not see it, or because it had been previously discussed within this thread, or by chance it is listed as a known issue. Your best bet would be to post it on my issue tracker.

What is a kernel? (thanks to FAUX123 for the image below)

    DISCLAIMERS:
    1) overvolting/undervolting your phone may cause biit looping, or break it, brick it, cause it to melt, etc... do this at your own risk, and only if you know what you are doing. If YOU break your phone, please do not post on this thread about it.
    2) If you OC'ed/OV'ed/UV'ed and now are in a boot loop or your phone is slow, or acting weird or just died - this means you changed something to a value your phone didnt like. I added the ability to OV/UV for those who know the risks and how to use it. Please do not post issues you may have after you OV/UV your phone, we may laugh at you.
    3) overclocking your phone can break it, as you can see from reading this thread, this kernel has been 100% stable for quite a few, but some had issues. Overclock at your own risk.
    4) not every phone can be over clocked, anything over 1.56 is considered unstable (on any of my kernels... well ok... most any ones kernel)
    5) Please DO NOT use any task killers (or additional INITD scripts), they DO NOT improve performance nor battery life. They INTERFERE with your phone's stability (more crashes) and App compatibilities (Forced Close).

    HOW TO INSTALL THIS KERNEL
    ... TEAMWIN RECOVERY IS RECOMMENDED

    1) boot into recovery
    2) back up your system (just in case)
    3) wipe delvik and cache
    4) flash the kernel
    5) re-wipe delvik and cahce (dont ask why, but the posts here on XDA prove it fixed a lot of issues people where having)
    6) reboot the phone
    7) let it sit for 10 minutes
    8) reboot the phone again (normal reboot)
    9) enjoy

*for best results - flash at the same time you flash your rom: use my modifed superwipe tool - flash your rom (dont reboot), flash the kernel, wipe cache and delvik, reboot, let sit for 10 min, and reboot again.
